I have visited Grace Church a few times because of its proximity to my home, but I can no longer attend given my experiences there. On multiple occasions, I have heard pastors make jokes that demean or stereotype other cultures. One sermon included a joke about blood diamonds in Sierra Leone, which trivializes a brutal conflict that took countless lives. More recently, a pastor described homes in Kenya as "sticks and mud" and said he would not be caught in one during the rain. In reality, earthen and mud-brick homes are sustainable, resilient structures designed for the climate. These kinds of comments are not only ignorant but also perpetuate harmful stereotypes about Africa and its people. In that same sermon, the pastor said that one day in heaven "we will see people from Guatemala and Peru there because of us." The choice to highlight only Black and Brown countries in this way was jarring. It reinforced a white savior framing rather than the Christian message of love, justice, and community. What troubles me most is that the church presents itself as a welcoming and safe space, but I have not heard sermons that affirm the dignity of all people, whether Black, white, gay, straight, foreign-born or not. Instead, I hear messages that center comfort, self, and superiority. As Christians, our duty is to love and serve, not to demean or "other" people around the world. I want to see churches in Bridgewater and beyond live up to the gospel's call to love thy neighbor in truth and justice. Unfortunately, I do not feel that Grace Church embodies that call. read more

Wow...the first time I went to grace they had a line of cars and special parking for people coming for there 1st time. I was floored to see parking lot people and greeters at the doors. They all were very friendly and made you feel welcome. It has a coffee and snack area and a gathering room to greet the new person. The church is large beautiful inside and very clean. The kids area is lovely and safe. Pastor Shawn was great down to earth and very kind. Made time to talk and welcome you in. The music is great and I felt very welcome. I'm not a big church person until I walked into grace and I felt like I was home. Try it once I bet you come back it's really changed how I look at life. read more

What a wonderful place, my first service was today and I really enjoyed it. As soon as you walk in the doors people greet you, so much love,kindness and understanding . Live music on stage absolutely delightful, Pastor Sean's sermon was a real moving sermon, done with passion,conviction, love and humor. Grace Church is filled with friendly, caring people. From the moment you drive into the parking lot, you feel welcome. There is special front row parking for first-time visitors, child care and children's programs for your children, junior high and high school youth group (offered mid-week) and a welcome center for you to connect with people after services. The pastors are great - they rotate in their schedules so it's not always the same person giving the message, each has his own unique style, and all of them are gifted speakers. Pastors here preach from the Bible on relevant topics that are relatable to all, and are genuinely concerned about the people in this congregation! Dress code is as super casual or dressed up as you want to be. You will see everything from shorts or jeans to dresses and suits! Come as you are! I've been coming to Grace since March 2016. I woke up at 3 am on a Saturday and had this overcoming urge to go to church. Not sure what churches were in my area I searched Yelp for churches. Grace was on the list! After reading the reviews, I decided this is the one. The whole family went that Sunday morning. Grace doesn't look like your ordinary church....but Grace church isn't an ordinary church! The inside is warm and inviting. You come as you are we wore jeans and a tshirt. Comfort is important. There are several different weekend services, we tend to favor Saturday evenings, (no rushing the whole family to get ready in the am) there are two morning services on Sunday also. There are always happy people to greet you as you walk in, anyone wearing a Grace church-I can help tshirt can answer any questions you may have. There is a coffee/tea station and also light refreshments and water and some sort of juice. There family style tables where family and friends can sit before and after service. There are so many different people young and old from many walks of life. Everyone fits in here as Pastor Sean says we are all from Gods "tribe" As you walk in to the auditorium you are handed a paper and pen to take notes if you choose and also any current church events are on the other side. Also a comment card that detached if you would like to be contacted or have a prayer which can be completely anonymous. Before the actual sermon there is an actual live band that plays upbeat contemporary Christian music. The words are on the screen so you can sing along. Usually 3 songs are played. This helps to clear you mind and get in that positive mood. Pastor Sean is the main reason we keep coming back to Grace church. He has a way of connecting to everyone young and old. There is almost always a funny story he tells that gets the whole church giggling. But the funny story always has a way of connecting to the teaching of that service. pastor Sean is very passionate about the Bible and has an extraordinary way of teaching so we can apply the Bible to our lives. Childcare is available, check in is computerized and the staff with the "I can help" shirts are always there to help. There are also classes for older kids with activities and a teaching from the Bible. My daughter loved it and it's a great way to make friends who love Jesus also. Pastor Sean's service is over before you know it and the band comes out back out to play one more song. Friends and family gather in the cafe area and chat it feels like a big family get together. If I had known about Grace church years ago I wouldn't have waited so long. I was brought up Christian and my husband was brought up catholic and my husband really enjoys Grace church. This is a church for everyone, no matter where you are right now in your belief's or relationship with God. I finally found peace with God through this church. Pastor Sean keeps it light and entertaining while getting the message across. They also can boast about their children's program and how wonderful it is. This is an AMAZING church, just like all the other post state, come as you are, and there is no pressure, like a member told me.. they want to welcome people who love God and who want to know God. Everything is a process, you have to come to church when you are ready, but when you are ready, come and praise the Lord with Grace Church. I came by myself, my sister told me she would come with me and she didn't but that didn't stop me. I sit in the front and listen to the songs and then pastor Sean, the service goes by fast, It's really enjoyable. I feel refreshed after service. read more

This church is welcoming, relaxed, friendly and most importantly non-judgmental. Pastor Sean is humble, relatable and funny. There is no dosing off during one of his sermons. This church 'walks the talk' which is why it is growing at such a rapid rate. The church focuses on helping those in need in the community and around the world. The worship team is amazingly talented and there are tons of kids and activities. Just Amazing, Welcoming, Diverse, Loving and a FRESH start for those whom are getting to know god, coming back to god, or just in between - any reason is a good reason to get back into Fathers arms. Got Kids? They got it covered, full powered babysitting on site - Need a pick me up? Coffee for free at café, Want to go on mission trips? Yep that too, just become a part of it, Got tons of family members or crazy hectic lives? No worries, they provide service Saturdays AND Sundays (3 Services each I believe) I was brought up in a Christian/Catholic based home. Both parents are believers, but their beliefs were never implied nor forced upon us nor did we ever attend church regularly but God was and still is in our hearts. I was attending a mainly Hispanic based Christian church in JP, MA for about 1 year but to be honest I didn't feel 100% "there" there. Nor was I committed. About 2 years ago I had this epiphany, life reasons I guess, and I have been wanting to be closer to god, and to get to know god, become his rightful servant and have him save me ... I came into Grace Church with a lot of "church" hurt and also plenty of negative assumptions regarding Christians/Believers due witnessing the behavior of Christians growing up, I wanted no part of it and it CLOUDED my understanding on what our savior is TRULY about and the bible. Grace church has been a breath of FRESH AIR for me, specially being a baby Christian. I adore Pastor Sean, amongst the rest of the pastors. Their mission is amazing, and you just feel GOOD there. EVERYONE is welcomed! The music, the singers, another reason to come, it's like angels singing. You can feel the love & the peace there radiating, I suggest you come if you are wondering - no judgments here, no accusations, no "I am better than another Christian talk" no negativity or pointing of fingers. Just pure love, and peace - teachable moments from the BIBLE, and people that truly care about others well beings; you can't get better than this! This church is extremely welcoming. Pastor Sean always talks about helping others and if someone is in need of groceries or help paying bills, he wants to know so he can help you out.
