Personal hygiene, self care, common sense and teaching methods were the issues with Mrs. Bloomrose. My child went from struggling with N's and poor grades to Outstanding and Exceeds standards. I was met with combativeness from Mrs. Bloomrose in any communication and feel I made the best decision in removing my child. Graduating high school a year early with honors, and accepted at MIT. In not wanting negative attention toward my child, this was handled as I were being stationed out of the area. Quietly moved on and put all of this behind us. I've held that in for many years, been stationed out of the area, stationed back and decided it was time to put it to rest by adding a review. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star as I kept this to myself all these years. And is is not a reflection of Montclair Elementary School but rather a teacher there in 2013.

The staff, families, and most importantly, the children, have helped me grow and become the best version of myself. I have learned so much in my time here that has helped me not only in my career, but in my personal life as well. I have built lasting friendships and relationship with some of the families and staff, and it always warms my heart to see these children's smiling faces every morning. This is the most gratifying career I could have chosen, and I cannot imagine doing anything else or being anywhere else. The love and kindness that radiates from the teachers here is beyond measure. The pride they take in their jobs as educators is expansive. I am so proud to be a part of this team

My son attended Rainbow for 2 years and we were very pleased with the center. The staff and…read moremanagement are caring and patient. They organized a fun Pre-K graduation and over the summer they have special "splash days" which the kiddos really love. I also used them a few times for my older son during teacher work days, and he also had a positive experience and enjoyed those days at Rainbow. I especially like that they provide a lot of play and movement activities. They have several mini recesses outside (weather permitting) and when the weather is bad, they have a large gym where the kids can run around and blow off steam, too. My son also had an IEP from the Fairfax County Public schools which meant that twice per week a speech therapist visited my son at the center to work with him on his articulation. Rainbow was very helpful to the teacher, they would ask her what his goals were and how they could help him. The management would provide a quiet space away from the other kids to work one-on-one with the FCPS teacher. I really appreciate all that Rainbow did to help my son be prepared for Kindergarten next year.

This daycare use to be great, not anymore. Management (Ms Srijana) is totally incompetent and…read morereally doesn't care. We have had our kids being offered candy by staff, which we have requested to stop, but somehow keeps continuing, my toddler is often found crying at the end of the day, clinging on to a teacher, who is too busy sweeping up the floor so they can leave early, they have never hired cleaners, the place smells of mould and our toddler is constantly sick. My toddler on two occasions has been found eating asphalt from their broken toddler playground, whilst their teachers are sat in a corner on their phones, chatting, yet management does nothing, we have requested she doesn't play there anymore, but why are they even letting toddlers play in an unsafe area, and not being properly monitored. Our toddler on multiple occasions has come home with severe diaper rash, so we make it a point to check her diaper before we leave and staff even argue amongst themselves as to who should change the diaper, after you tell them she has a soiled diaper. We have also found the toddler teacher completely left the room to go to the outside playground to take a call leaving at least 6 toddlers in the classroom unattended for at least 10min, while I came to drop off my toddler, this was brought to management, they did nothing. Their ac stopped working a few weeks ago in my child's classroom and they did not make it a priority to get it fixed, in this hot weather even though it was brought to their attention several times, they have also had issues with billing being incorrect too. The list goes on. This place needs a deep clean, equipment needs upgrading and bottom line management needs to be changed.

Most importantly they seem to be the only organized playgroup in Arlington that takes drop-ins. My son was stationed here for just 3 months from January through March and we were desperate to find a preschool for the 3 year old. The 1 year Old went two days a week. There was some parent volunteering required. Toddlers did not have to be potty trained. I highly recommend it.
