This is the most unprofessional and dreadful hospital I have ever encountered. I fell on a river…read moreboat and broke my patella and was taken by ambulance to this dreadful place. I had to beg for pain medication in the
ER and that was the ONLY medication I was given in my three days there.
In a room, they hand you some pills yet REFUSE to tell you what they are or what they are for. When my IV came loose during the night and flooded the bed with blood, upon summoning the nurse, her solution was to remove the IV but did not change the bed--i had to sleep in the wet bloody bed the rest of the night and in the dried blood for two consecutive nights. Yes, I became combative and I called people names. Everyone spoke English well. I also speak German.
I was confined to the bed and could not get up or walk, yet they called the police and had the police man to turn me over on my stomach, handcuff me and throw me into the floor, evidenty to teach me a lesson (this was recorded on a phone in the USA as I was talking with someone when the policeman arrived). I was then thrown out of the hospital---truly thrown out on to the grass in the front of the hospital. I had told them I have HIV and they themselves diagnosed me with MRSA but did not treat either while I was there. Further, they violated privacy by telling the river boat manager my medical history which violates both German and EU medical privacy laws.
I asked to speak with a priest at this Catholic hospital and some 4 months later, I have yet to see one.
Avoid this place at all costs. And, this was not a communication problem---they spoke English and I spoke German.
I realize I brought a lot on myself by using the only weapon at my disposal--my mouth---i was completely immobile. They saw me as combative and this thru me out. Have they not heard about sedatives? Throwing out an elderly 64 year old man who has a broken knee, who has not had any pain medication since the ER, has HIV and MRSA into 38 degree Farenheit weather to fend for himself.
There is nothing Christian about this and very little about proper medical care.
