Not only was he an asshole but tried to berate me simply because I introduced myself by first name only. Pretty much the entire conversation he carried a condescending and accusatory tone. I had full intentions of giving Bill Parker and his office my business! If he did a good job, I would have gladly given him my continued business as I try to make it a habit of giving smaller companies my business whenever possible. First thing I want to address to you, Bill, is that as much grief as YOU gave me for not giving YOU my FULL name, I want to remind you that YOU dubiously answered the phone "Hello?", like an amateur who has never answered a company phone before. And YOU didn't introduce YOURSELF first! Which is how things usually work in the business world. Also, pressuring someone to give you their full name before we are in a business relationship is extremely uncouth. Bill, do you honestly have any idea how many business gather people's privacy and information just to blast them with spam, ads, unwanted phone calls, and even sometimes sell their information to other companies to be harassed even more so! Also, if you take a step back and look at my questions OBJECTIVELY, you will notice MY IDENTITY has no relation, bearing, or integral part on answering my question!!! I felt that I was pretty upfront, honest, and although my communication skills fall between below average and poor (which I will explain later why), I felt it was pretty obvious what I was calling about: 1) I needed to file a simple tax return. 2) I had a question on what documents I needed to bring with me before we met so I wouldn't waste gas, your time, my time, your Receptionist's time, my service dog's time, and this phone call. I had an excellent working relationship with my former accountant in NJ. I would buy him and his staff a locally made delicious pizza pie every year he did my taxes as a way to say thank you to him as he often gave me and other active duty military members an awesome discount or even did my taxes for free! Bill, before you go and accuse, badger, put down, and get offensive to customers, why don't you try to have a little more patience and tolerance Bill!?If you wouldn't have awkwardly pressured me to give you my FULL name as a prerequisite to answering ANY of my questions, you coukd have learned that I am a medically retired, Air Force veteran with several service and combat related disabilities, which do include: anxiety, PTSD, depression, tremors, and several other side effects which makes conversations with me a bit more difficult. Sometimes it might seem like there is missing information, or my voice sounds shaky. IN ADDITION to living with these struggles and disabilities I have been a victim to IDENTITY THEFT! Through no fault of my own, a former employee of a retail store chain took mine and other people's information from the store computer and stole over $2,000 from me in less than 3 minutes, as well as an unknown amount from several other customers, (beware of using yoir debit or credit cards at Alvin's Island in Destin, FL). So now you might understand why someone like me and millions of other Americans are hesitant to give our full name to a 'business' we have no relationship with. I can only hope you change your demeanor, attitude, and business practices and grow in patience, tolerance, and understanding. This museum is a must-see for every American - anyone in a position of power, and just everyone in…read moregeneral. I was marginally aware of many of the issues addressed by the museum but had never put it together in my head as poignantly as the museum does. The museum is put together brilliantly. It is not an "easy" visit- the subject matter is harsh and will stay with you a long time. But it is easily the most relevant experience for anyone wanting to truly understand America's history. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you live in Alabama, you need to drive there ASAP. If you do not, it is completely worth a trip. The importance of the issues addressed by the museum cannot be overstated. Notes on logistics: so there are three components to the museum- this location is the museum itself; there's also the National Memorial for Peace and Justice located a few blocks away. It is a short (~15 min) walk, and there is also a shuttle that runs pretty frequently. I used the shuttle and have no complaints. There is no longer a gift shop at this location. The third, newest component to the museum is a pavilion also located a few blocks away (and also on the shuttle route). There's a large bookstore and a cafe. I haven't visited the pavilion myself yet. There is also a smaller gift shop located at the memorial. I was able to purchase tickets on the day of, but planning in advance is not a bad idea. There is pretty ample street (metered) parking near the museum as well as lots/garages nearby.

Pam ignored me so intentionally that I assumed I was at the wrong cash register. I made eye contact with another employee and she motioned to Pam and the other employee that I needed assistance. Pam did not greet me at all but she sold me the tickets. Pam did not ask me if I was taking the boat ride and I did not know that I needed to inform her of this so I showed up without a yellow wristband or a ticket for the boat ride. The sculpture park was wonderful and the staff there was professional and courteous. Y'all need to talk to Pam. I do not enjoy being ignored. When Pam sees a paying customer she needs to mute her conversation with her coworkers, greet the customer and handle business. Unless, of course ,you're paying Pam to chat with her coworkers while ignoring customers.

I have been blessed to have Julian McPhillips represent me twice in the last 10 years. I was in a…read moresevere accident in 2008, with a drunk driver hitting back of my vehicle approximately 45 mph while my car was stationary at a red light. I had never called or been to an attorney before as this was a terrible new experience for me. Attorney. McPhillips, as well as his assisting staff, immediately put my nerves to rest with his kindness, genuinely caring about what had happened to my children and me and reassuring me everything would be fine even if the driver did not have insurance and my insurance did not want to pay, He was correct! My second experience with Attorney Mcphillips was just as wonderful in spite of the seriousness of the accident and my injuries. I pulled over for an ambulance to pass and the driver of a major trucking company tried to jump in front of the ambulance and in the process literally drove over my mini van , which was caught under the 18 wheeler at this point, and drug me to the top of an onramp where he finally jack knifed truck was forced to stop. I spent 9 months in the hospital and during the following 4 years had 12 abdominal surgeries and all the complications that may come with them. This company wanted to settle and quickly for only the medicals I had received at the two year mark after the accident. Attorney McPhillips had the foresight and knowledge that I very well would have future medical issues which indeed did happen. Not to mention the emotional loss I felt not being at home with my young boys and only seeing them when they would visit me at the hospital. The opposing Attorneys, and there were many, continued to try and settle for an insulting amount that would not have covered any of my future surgeries, Regardless of the size of this trucking company, the name attached to this trucking company or the many attorneys this trucking company hired, Attorney McPhillips and his assistants, including Amelia Strickland who had also assisted in 2008 accident, assured me he and the firm would not give up or give in. He did not and I count my blessings every day for God providing such a wonderful attorney and assistant to not treat me as a case but a human being who they visited, called and developed a close relationship with myself and my children. Not one time did they act as though I were a case to make them money but a person who was severely hurt and needed protection in that moment and the years to come. They won that case too! Again, this is not about Attorney McPhillips or Amelia Strickland winning cases for me but individuals who treated me with professionalism, kindness and the hurt human being I was at the time. I pray there are no more car accidents in my future, but if there are there is nowhere else I would go BUT to McPhillips Shinbaum, and every attorney there is great, but I personally will be requesting Attorney McPhillips and his Office manager Amelia Strickland!!
