We were driving by on Route 166 and we'd seen some pictures of this lake so we decided to make a short detour and see it. The road from Gosau to the lake was beautiful and probably worth the detour alone. Anyway, we got yo the lake and it was beautiful. There was a small parking lot, a souvenir stand or two, and a lodge where you can get a snack and maybe something more. On the way there we saw a couple ski lifts, and I think there was one at the end of the road. Overall it is a pretty place and a good place for a quick stop. read more
