Here we dropped our bag of clothing off at about 8 a.m. and picked up a stack of clean and folded clothing at 3 p.m., for a quite reasonable price which allowed us to be tourists instead of sitting somewhere watching a washing machine. After reading on their web site about the great care they give to wedding dresses we felt comfortable they would do a great job. BIGGEST MISTAKE. Prior to boxing I inspected the dress only to see they had destroyed it and it can never be worn again. The silk was discoloured and had shrunk and now felt like sandpaper. The boning is jutting out and parts were ripped. The dress is ruined and NorthTown refuses to refund my prepaid fee or offer any restitution buy an instore credit. Why would I bring anything back to NorthTown. They don't deserve a single star.

In fact, ignoring the fact that I refused their offer to have anything added. The excuse offered was that she wanted to make my job "look nicer". The changes made it badly proportioned and the added border was tacky and cheesy. In the subsequent communication with the owner, she was argumentative and defensive. She said I shouldn't have left it to the last minute (which it was not) and perhaps I should have gotten a proof (which was not offered). I was then invited to use Staples in future. While I will not be taking up that particular invitation, I will not bringing future jobs, neither personal nor business, to Split Second. Ever.

They did a lovely job with it and it was MUCH cheaper than the funeral home wanted, their designer who did it was great! She offered suggestions when we weren't sure what to put on it. Anytime I've gotten cards done they always offer a proof! Also I did read the other review - and I think she's wrong, they don't change the proportions on photos. Ever. They even had to explain that to my mother since she was wanting a rectangle size print from a square photo, they can crop to get close - but they won't stretch or misshapen photos. I will always give them my service!

After looking for reviews on Yelp regarding cremation and Funeral services I have come to realize…read morethat there are none, so let me be one of the first to tell everyone what a great service Quinte Cremation Services provides. Let me be brief here. My father passed away under unfortunate circumstances this past November, and before his death, my sister and I began a frantic search for an affordable burial. I myself called every home in Belleville, and explained our dire situation, and did not feel reassured on some of the (what I felt) outrageous expenses. Being young (under 24) and still being a student, you can imagine the balance in my bank account, zip. When we finally got in touch with Mr.Bailey, the funerary director of the Quinte Cremation Services, he treated us with nothing but care and respect. The day after my father passed away, I travelled all the way from Ottawa to Belleville, only to be greeted by Mr.Bailey himself, holding the door open while I came in. Not only was he frank about everything, he walked me through every step I needed to overcome to settle my fathers affairs. This death, being a first for me, was particularily hard, as I undertook most of this process alone. Mr. Bailey's assurance was extremely comforting to me, making what seemed to be a difficult process, so much easier with his assistance. He even called me a few days prior to picking up my fathers remains to give me an ETA and to ask how I was doing. I can highly reccomend the Quinte Cremation Services, and will never forget the kind and wonderful help from Mr. Bailey. I hate how the site (at five stars) rates it, "As good as it gets" because it doesn't really fit what I want to say. Death is not altogether a happy or pleasant experience, but the quality of service I have recieved from this establishment will always be a positive memory to me. I thank you, from the very bottom of my heart.
