Red light - Internet out

1 star review due to prolonged Google Fiber internet outage at my residence . My Google Fiber service has been completely down for more than three (3) consecutive days. I have contacted Google Fiber support multiple times but the issue remains unresolved. All requested troubleshooting steps have already been completed. Google Fiber has informed me that they cannot dispatch a technician for another 3 days, leaving my household without internet service for an extended and unreasonable period of time. This outage is causing serious harm because: * I rely on internet access to perform my job * All household streaming services are unusable * My home security cameras are offline, creating a safety and security concern Despite reporting the issue promptly and requesting escalation, I have not been provided with a clear explanation for the outage or any reasonable interim solution. The inability to dispatch a technician for several additional days after a prolonged outage is unacceptable for a residential broadband provider.

The worst customer service experience I've ever had. It's the most expensive and the most awful internet service available in Austin.

Important to note that the $10 install fee is non-refundable. Know that ahead of time. I didn't.

It's still a mesh system (new pucks) but both pucks cover more and seem to have a stronger signal.

After struggling with poor Wi-Fi coverage between the two floors of our home, Eric took the time to…read moredo a thorough assessment and gave us multiple options to consider. We ultimately decided on a mesh system, and the entire process felt very tailored to our home rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. He was extremely responsive, easy to communicate with, and on time. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure we felt comfortable using the system before he left. He also tested everything thoroughly, which gave us a lot of confidence in the setup. The results have been a huge improvement. There is no more latency or lag during video calls, and our signal is now strong and reliable throughout the entire house. He is professional, knowledgeable, and left our home clean. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their home network.

Eric did such a great job at my house. My home had no ethernet wiring and I wanted to wire up a…read morebunch of POE cameras and also provide 10GBE to ethernet jacks upstairs and in my office as well as add 2 10GBE APs for my ubiquiti setup. Eric's quote was reasonable, well thought out and easy to understand. Of the 4 bids I requested, Wire Genie came in the middle in price but Eric was heads and above in his consideration and scoping of the task whereas many other installers seemed to be guestimating effort. Eric had a number of helpful suggestions both from camera positioning to running lines for future use and he did a phenomenal job on running a POE Doorbell camera behind brickwork and only needing one access cut that, at his suggestion, we put a 2-outlet blank faceplate over for future access/maintenance if needed. All cables were carefully labeled and terminated into my server rack patch panel. Awesome work!
