Plate two sweets and Seasonal Fresh Fruit
    Charles R.

Great experience you definitely are able to meet with the characters and get the autographs and photos you might miss out on while in the parks. Good was a little pricey for a buffet but the fruit was exceptionally fresh. Served was also beyond words kind! And the characters were utterly hilarious as always it makes you feel like a big kid.

Goofy's Kitchen is a character dining option at the Disneyland resort inside the Disneyland Hotel. They validate three hours of parking so that gives you time to eat and walk it off after at downtown Disney. The check-in process is easy and while you're waiting to be called up, you can take your photo with Goofy in his kitchen. There is a cast member there taking photos and it's complimentary for your visit. They give you a photo pass so you can download it from your Disneyland app. Service is always stellar in any area of the resort. Our waitress, Barbara, took excellent care of us. When you arrive at your table, there are Goofy's Kitchen pins waiting for you and they take your drink orders immediately. Alcohol and any special crafted drinks are extra but you get your regular fountain drinks and juices for the kids. We did the dinner buffet and it had some good options. Their kale and broccoli salad were really good. I had some honey glazed salmon and it was as good as you would expect honey glazed salmon to be at an endless buffet. They had a carving station for various protein option and the kids section had pizza, Mac and cheese, corn dogs, fries, and chicken tenders. Their dessert spread was great! I really enjoyed their crème brûlée and carrot cake. Barbara offered some coffee to pair with my dessert, which I was dying for but I passed on it because coffee at 6 pm is never a good idea. My niece got to see Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, Donald, and Pluto while we enjoyed our food. She jumped in excitement and the characters did such a good job interacting with her. It's a must-do if you have kids.

I don't know why all the negative reviews here for Goofy's Kitchen. No one should be going in thinking you're getting a Michelin star dining experience. You're there for the characters and the food is buffet food. Honestly everything I ate today was tasty and I would order it again. The biscuits and gravy were the only miss for me. The tri tip was flavorful and tender. The miso salmon was delicious. The bacon was thick and crispy. Made to order omelette was great and had a nice cheese pull too! Service was excellent and our drinks were continuously refilled and she even got us some drinks to go once we were done.

The bump on his head after he fell.

We've always loved coming here for kids' birthday celebrations, but unfortunately this last experience is one I'll never forget. During our visit, one of the characters accidentally bumped into my child, causing him to fall and hit his forehead on the floor. I'm very thankful that a nurse was brought over to check on him and that a report was taken immediately. However, after the incident I was extremely shaken and uncomfortable. I could barely enjoy my meal because my focus was entirely on my son and making sure he was okay. Despite what happened, we were still charged full price for our meal, which was disappointing considering the circumstances. Thankfully, we had not entered the park that day, but the incident completely changed the experience for our family. I kept my son right by my side afterward while walking back to our table to feed him. I understand accidents can happen, but I do think the characters should be more careful and avoid walking too quickly around small children. I hope this feedback helps improve safety for other families visiting in the future.

Goofy's Kitchen is one of our favorite character dining experiences at Disneyland. The food spread is impressive, and whether you're visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there's truly something for everyone. There are plenty of options for both adults and kids, from classic comfort foods to healthier choices, and don't even get me started on the desserts. There are so many sweet treats to choose from that it's hard to save room for all of them! The real highlight, though, is the character interactions. The characters spend a lot of time visiting tables, taking photos, and interacting with guests, and we've always had great experiences. It never feels rushed, and it's a fun way to meet multiple characters without standing in long lines in the parks. Is it expensive? Absolutely. But between the variety of food, the quality of the character interactions, and the overall fun atmosphere, we've always felt it was worth it. If you're looking for a Disney dining experience that's fun for the whole family, Goofy's Kitchen is hard to beat.

We always LOVE dining at Goofy's kitchen! Character dining is so fun and the buffet is delicious! Food-10/10. We usually go for breakfast for the Mickey shaped waffles. They are soooo yummy. They even have gluten free ones (you need to ask your server about it) and they are really good. It's a buffet full of lots of breakfast, brunch, and desserts. The food is good and unlimited. Characters- 100/10. Character dining is so fun! Before you get seated, your party takes a picture with Goofy in his kitchen setup. Characters also come by to every table so everyone has a chance to meet them and take pictures/videos. Every so often, they also do a little parade through the restaurant which is really fun. They also have different outfits for the holidays, which is really cute! Service- 10/10. Service is great! So welcoming and kind! Extras- We got free validated downtown disney parking which is nice. If it's someone's birthday, they will bring a birthday cupcake!

We took our 15-month-old daughter to Goofy's Kitchen and it was such a special experience. At that age, you never know how they'll react The characters were amazing with her. They were gentle, playful, and took their time so she wouldn't feel overwhelmed. Seeing her little face was priceless .

Overpriced, yet somehow the memories made here are worth every penny. We had some great interactions with the characters. Only complaint is regarding cleanliness... at one point the syrup ramekins were all dirty in the "clean" spot by the food. Other than that our wait staff and host were great. Not sure if we would do it again...but don't regretting doing it at all.

We had a great experience here back in November of 2025 for my nieces 7th birthday. We had a reservation for somewhat of a large party and we didn't have to wait very long for our table to be ready. Once we sat down we were greeted by the best waiter. He is hands down the best, is hilarious, and did a great job helping us if we needed anything. I wished I remembered his name, but I would come back if it meant he was our waiter again. I felt like the food selection was better than at Storytellers. It wasn't pure chaos inside while we were there. We saw so many characters and even saw some of them more than once. I enjoyed that they danced and did a march through the entire restaurant like a little cavalcade. The food was pretty good too. Just standard for buffets. I'd love to come back here when they're dressed in their Halloween attire or during Christmas time next. Goofy's Kitchen is located inside the Disneyland Hotel and you don't need to stay at the hotel in order to dine there. If you're visiting the parks, you'll have to walk all the way to the end of downtown Disney and out past security check in to get to the hotel. That means when you're done you will need to go through security again to get back into downtown Disney. They don't allow Disneyland scooters into the hotel so you will have to park them right outside security and walk to the hotel from there. If you rented from a 3rd party company those are allowed. The walk from security to the hotel isn't very long.

Went to Goofy's Kitchen and honestly felt it was overpriced for what you get. For four people, the total was pretty high, especially since the tip is already included. The character experience was underwhelming -- we only saw a few characters, and Minnie was the only main one. For that price, I expected to at least see Mickey. The food was just mediocre. There are options like prime rib, shrimp, pizza, and chicken nuggets, but nothing really stood out in terms of taste. I think it might be worth it if you're bringing kids for the experience, but as an adult, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm glad I tried it once, but I wouldn't go back.

    Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Halloween! - September 2025
    Diele K.

For my birthday, I booked Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Halloween! Breakfast to try this location out for the first time. I've heard a lot about it, but never had someone to dine with me and didn't want to do it solo. It is a bit steep of a price for breakfast, but the buffet does offer quite the selection. From a fresh salad bar to Mickey Shaped Waffles and Pancakes to even chicken tenders and Mac n Cheese even at breakfast time. Heck, there's even ice cream and toppings! I definitely think anyone could find something they'd enjoy here with the selection of items. For $69, I'm not sure it was worth the value unless celebrating something and not my every Disney trip stop for dining. Though the service, characters, and selections were great the ambiance was dwindled by the commotion in the dining area. I get that there are a lot of kids as this is a highly sought after experience for children, but I found the noise to be quite jarring. Even when they played music as it was quite loud were we were seated. A feel times were overstimulating, but it still was a great experience that I'd recommend to others. Get those napkins ready to twirl in the air - time to celebrate with Goofy and friends. Have those cameras or cell phones ready to snap photos as characters do roam throughout your meal. Wherever you decide to dine, have a magical day!

Ask the Community - Goofy's Kitchen

Do they ask you to leave breakfast, when brunch starts?

    No.

    Free parking and where?

You can park at DownTown Disney Parking, which is the only one that's "free". Parking is validated at Goofys Kitchen after your meal. You can not park for free at Mickey and Friends, Pixar Pals, or Toy Story for free unless it's included in your…

We're celebrating my daughter's birthday. I saw that you have Mickey Mouse birthday cakes. Can I order one for our dinner tonight?

Tell the waiter that you are celebrating your son BD. They are very tentative to the detail. Ours provided with cake and special diet for our grandson who is allergic to a lot of things.…

I am trying to make reservations online and no date or time is available all the way through October 12, does anyone know how to get reservations?

That's odd. I reviewed the availability for 4, and there were plenty of slots. You might want to call them directly to make the reservation for a larger party.

To someone who has been in the past month, do they still serve pizza, chicken strips, Mac n cheese etc at breakfast/brunch time?

Yes they do! Usually more towards brunch time.

Are they allowing pictures with the characters again? In 2021 when we went last they just danced around and never came to the tables. In 2019 they did pictures and characters at each table. Just want to know if it's normal again.

Yes lots of pictures happening when the characters meet and greet at the table!

Do they give a little birthday cupcake at breakfast or only dinner?

For breakfast yes dinner I'm not to sure

Are reservations needed? Or can you just show up and wait?

    Must have reservation

I am thinking of making reservations here for my daughter's birthday (since Napa Rose with the princesses are all booked). Do you prefer the breakfast or dinner option? Also, do I need a park reservation for this? Do they do anything for birthdays?

Great news! You do not need a park reservation for Goofy’s Kitchen, and they will come out and sing and make noise for your birthday. As for choosing between dinner and breakfast, that’s a tough one. They have a terrific menu for both meals.…

Hi do they have a QR code to pay or do you pay when you get there? Brunch price please!

A credit card is required when making reservations, but you pay when you check-in for your reservation.…

I made a reservation on the app and added a cake add on, how can I cancel the cake add on?

You should be able to cancel when you arrive. Just tell them ahead of time. They get so many orders for that cake that they're not losing any money. Pro Tip: I would keep the cake, eat as much as you can and fill the box the cake comes in with…

Do you take walk ins? Cuz I'm unable to reserve anything

They do but, be prepared for a very long wait!

Is turkey sausage served for breakfast?

I believe the sausage is regular sausage as the Goofy’s Kitchen menu does not specify turkey.

I'm taking my son here for his bday in Jan... Do any of the characters stop to take photos with guests at the tables? I see videos of them dancing and walking.. but don't they ever stop for photos?

Yes! When they stop at your table, you can absolutely ask them for a picture. They will interact with you and your guests as well.

I have a really picky eater. Do they have things like chicken strips and fries. Or plain noodles with butter?

They make amazing chicken strips and they have mac n cheese.

How's the dinner menu? Is the pb pizza included in the dinner menu also?

Dinner has a good selection of proteins, starches and vegetables. But you are there more for the character interactions.

How do I make a reservation for goofy kitchen?

You can make reservations online. https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/#/reservations-accepted/

    Do they have French fries?

    They do!

Is child under 2 years old free?

    Yes!

Is goody kitchen inside Disneyland or downtown disney?

    It's inside the Disneyland hotel.

The garlic sauce they have went very well with it! I also got the beets, and they were my favorite item. They were sweet and tender, cooked to perfection. The cantaloupe and honeydew were both very sweet. I think that's kind of hard to come by these days. Their pudding was okay, not my favorite. I also tried the baklava, and it is definitely one of the better ones I have ever had. Definitely recommend this place, and I will come back.

Storytellers Cafe is pure magic! Our family LOVES Disney and we are pass holders to boot…read more So...needless to say, we have dined at several spots around Disneyland and done other character dinners (while the magic is still vibrant in our littles) and our experience at Storytellers Cafe was the best!!! From the moment we walked in Caindisse greeted us like we were long lost best friends. She immediately connected with us and the kids and is truly exceptional at her job! We didn't have to wait long before we got to our table which was front and center amid all the character action! Our waitresses were Jenny and Lisa who were wonderful (we were never without anything including cherries for our drinks). All the characters came around multiple times and our children's eyes lit up each time. Everyone here does an incredible job of making sure diners are well fed, well entertained, and leave with the magical experience Disney boasts about. The food is fantastic! They have everything including charcuterie, salads of all kinds, specialty meats, fancy fish, chicken strips, fries, lobster ravioli, pizzas, perfectly ripened fruits and pretty much everything in between. They also have a vast array of little desserts that appeal to every sweet palate. You will leave with full tummies, so walk slowly around the parks afterwards to digest The inside of the restaurant is vibrant and fun just like all of Disney, and the tables are comfortably spread out for character interaction and hefty plates of food! The price is high but honestly it's worth it for the quality and quantity of the food you get, the incredible service, the exuberant characters who make memorable impressions on our children, and the great family memories you make. Storytellers cafe is everything we thought it would be and more, we will be back!

Not only…read moredid she never come to our table in the almost 2 hours that we spent eating there, when we were leaving we saw her and asked for a picture before we left but she said no to my four-year-old daughter by wagging her finger at me and pointing at her wrist to indicate that she had to go on break. I obviously understand that the characters may be extremely hot and on a timeline, but she did this after a Table hogged her to take photos with their baby for almost a full 10 minutes. When we walked out of the restaurant she was actually walking back in and I tried to ask the assistant for a photo because we never got one when we were inside the restaurant and she said " no you need to be a patron of the restaurant." Then they quickly walked away. What happened to the "Disney magic?" Really disappointed. Side note - whatever you do, do not order their Arnold Palmer. It literally tasted like they scooped pool water and added Minute Maid to it.
