If you are not, they are pay by the the pound centers. Also referred to as the "bins" because you have to sort through bins to find anything. I've gone to the bins in South Florida before and it's a feeding frenzy. Pure chaos. Imagine women fighting over a shirt. Thats what my local bins are like. This was not that. There were a total of 4 people in there the whole time I was there. I didn't have to fight anyone for anything. I wasn't there for hours of rotations before I found anything good. I got to search at my leisure. The staff was nice but the place was pretty quiet. I would definitely return to this location on my next visit to Savannah.

I went to the classes they offered several times and I did my best to do what was asked of me but nothing ever came of work. They have jobs of their own on offer and they partner with local companies looking to hire. I have applied for so many positions with only two interviews. I have extensive previous work experience in many fields. I was told that they wanted to give me a Google scholarship for a certification. The lady handling my case said that she just needed to get her boss' approval. Then it all went silent. Never heard back. I went back to the old way of looking for a job myself on Indeed (another waste of time) and forgot about that. One day I saw on Indeed that there were jobs hiring at Goodwill. I was frustrated and ripped off a complaint on their website. Mr McCloud wrote to me and apologized. He offered me a gas voucher to come attend their next job fair (I had gotten to the point that I could not afford to waste gas anymore because of no money) I went and applied for jobs with them and the job partners. Nothing, silence. While I was there, I was told that the lady handling my case had left the organization. (No one called me to say "this is so and so, I'm taking over your case. Do you need help in your job search ?) I asked about the Google IT cert possibilities and was given a name to contact . Director of outreach ministries. I sent her an email. I explained my situation. I got one call from her that I missed. I called her back four times, leaving messages on two calls. I never got a response. I would not be so mad and feel abandoned if it weren't for the fact that their mission is supposed to help people like me with barriers to employment. I never asked for this disability to happen and when I reached out for help. I got a fifteen dollar gas card. Nothing more. Miss Gloria is a sweet lady, she's the bright spot of the whole place IMHO

I suspect there is some requirement or ordinance in play here to upscale this particular store to Hilton Head standards. The store is smaller than their usual store footprint. But they offer pretty much the same except there wasn't any furniture available. There were much less household goods available than usual although we did find some king size sheets we were looking for.

While it's not the biggest Goodwill, it did have some pretty nice finds, including an almost brand new desk, which I needed because I just relocated to Savannah and a standing desk with wheels, which I was really surprised to find. Both were priced pretty reasonably, but I was disappointed to find out that Goodwill's in Georgia don't offer digital coupons or discounts beyond senior citizens and military, which is something that Arizona Goodwill's and North Carolina Goodwill's offer. But in general, I found the service to be really helpful with plenty of employees on floor. Shout out to Blondie for the recommendation. Definitely a locations I will be checking out periodically.

The store is in the same shopping center as the Berwick Kroger but since it's farther down the parking lot, (closer to the Ace Hardware) so, I think most people overlook it. I will admit, it's disorganized and sometimes the housewares are bit dusty and gross, but aside from that, I have found some real gems here. My most prized being a Citizen Eco Drive watch and an authentic vintage coach city bag. The prices are in line with other goodwill locations in the area but the clothing department is always full of higher quality brands ( J. Jill, J. crew, Anthro etc ) rather than the shien / temu garbage I see over at the Eisenhower location. The employees are cordial and they are willing to get items priced when the tag has been lost. Overall, this is my favorite South GA. Goodwill.

The store is very organized. Lots of men and women's clothing and organized by clothing type and size. There are also dressing rooms which is great. All the Goodwill associates I encountered were thoughtful, kind with their southern hospitality. Houseware, I didnt find much thou they had plenty of selections. I found a wood bread bowl for $2.99 and I was just at the Paris Market in historic downtown selling similar item for $65.00. Also, I did a very good haul of finding a long black cashmere cardigan, a prairie dress which I will use for a period photoshoot and J. crew casual pants. For everything I spent under $30.00 Next time i am in town I'll go shopping in mid-town Goodwill. Thank you to all the associates at this location for making my experience enjoyable!

They are so…read morehelpful and there are very few nonprofits in the area that are that helpful or kind when you drop things off most of them look at you while you unload your car from a distance and some say thank you but Goodwill is very kind and very helpful bringing over a cart so you can get it right out of your car helping you. It feels like they have a for graciousness.
