Travel planning, hardbacks at $3.29 each !!!
    lucy l.

Friendly staff. Big bright store. Found some cool books today. Not sure if the book section was organized like a regular book store, but it appeared visually organized and inviting enough I looked thoroughly through all the hardbacks. Not that we need another travel or coffee table book, but hey, I could use some inspiration, plan our next day trips and longer vacations while hibernating. I had passed up on the 36 Hours travel book once before and was delighted to chance upon it tonight. Plenty of ideas for life after covid.

This was one of the larger Goodwill stores I have been to so it took a while to make my way through it. I thought their prices were more reasonable than some of the Goodwills I have been to, at least on the items I happen to be looking at. I found the employees to be very pleasant and helpful. It was hard to imagine there was a Goodwill in the area I had never been to but I could tell I had never been to this one so I'm glad I found it. I will have to add it to my rotation if I get out this far from Chandler again on half-price Saturdays. I I happened to come here on Sunday, Mother's Day but I would definitely want to come back on a sale day.

Nice price for a kids book lol!

There is no "up and down." This place is a labyrinth designed by someone who said, "What if we hid Narnia behind every dresser?" I got lost at least three times. Possibly four. At one point I genuinely forgot: What I came for, which direction I entered... who I am as a person. Every time I thought I found the "main path," I'd turn a corner and BAM! secret pocket room. Hidden alcove. Side quest unlocked. Now, to be fair, if you are someone who enjoys treasure hunting, rummaging, discovering trinkets you didn't know you needed, and time traveling, this is your Disneyland. There is stuff. So much stuff. Trinkets. Bobbles. Whatnots, galore. Things your grandma had. Things your grandma refused to have. I went in looking for one very specific item. I did not find it. I did, however, find three existential moments and mild spatial disorientation. Did I have a good time? Yes. Did I leave with what I needed? No. Did I briefly consider dropping breadcrumbs to find my way out? Also yes. Three stars because it's impressive, chaotic, and an adventure... but if you go in with a mission, be prepared to lose it. Possibly along with your sense of direction. Would return. With a map.

We've been to this store several times over the past couple of years & every time I'm lucky enough to find something amazing yet half the time my choice is in the locked cabinet..... lol! This store is extremely large so you can definitely be there for a few hours because they have everything that you can imagine! The store is also well spaced out for as big as it is & it's not cluttered like some antique stores can be! On this last visit I completely lucked out because I've been eyeing a figurine in a glass case & it was still there! Well once they took it out & put it in my hands I knew I wanted it.... a Giuseppe Armani figurine so delicately made, I fell in love & the price.... Could not beat! Then on another visit in another locked glass case there she sat.... This gorgeous Sweden " Strombergshyttan " crystal vase of a girl holding a bird cage, underneath the vase is signed & numbered. Yes I basically walked away with a steal, my husband had to tell me to stop smiling! I just love this store, there's such a large selection to choose from for all tastes out there! Mind you it's not in that fancy zip code but do not let that discourage you because sometimes when you drive out of those zip codes that's where's there'll be some extra treasures lingering around!

It's easy to browse, nothing feels chaotic, and you can actually enjoy the hunt without getting overwhelmed. They also keep up with the basics--clean, spacious dressing rooms and restrooms, which always makes a difference when you're planning to try things on and take your time. Now, I'm rating this location in comparison to another DESERET Industry store I gave five stars, and the only reason this one lands at four is the air quality. There's a noticeable mustiness--more of that classic thrift store smell--and oddly enough, I found myself sneezing while inside, which wasn't happening before I walked in. I will say, the toys and home goods sections do lose a bit of that polished feel. Like the other location, those areas lean more toward slightly disorganized--nothing wild, but enough to break the otherwise clean, curated flow of the store. Aside from that? Solid spot. Great organization overall, easy shopping experience, and definitely still worth the thrift trip.

The racks are labeled, the clothes are color-coded, and for the most part, everything is super organized (minus a slightly chaotic home goods section, but honestly... that's part of the treasure hunt). I'm not even going to lie--I felt a little overwhelmed at first because there's so much to look at. You can absolutely get lost in here, so give yourself time. They've got separate dressing rooms for men and women, and the restroom? Spotless. Like, exceptionally clean--with a baby changing station too. We love to see it. Now let's talk about what really sets this place apart: there is zero thrift store smell. None. No mustiness, no funky mystery scent, no "digging through old clothes" vibe. It's cool, comfortable, and actually enjoyable to shop in. You feel like you're in a regular retail store... just scoring insane deals. Prices? Don't even get me started. I grabbed three items for $21. Shirts were around $4, jackets about $10, and yes--they even have wedding dresses (I saw one for $95!). Like... be serious. The store itself is clean, the floors looked well-maintained, and it's clearly family-friendly--I saw kids just casually walking around, living their best lives. Honestly, I'm a little put off that we don't have this chain in my state because this place is a whole experience. If you love thrifting but hate the chaos and the smell, this is your spot. AND, a major plus is "Whenever you donate or shop at a Deseret Industries location, you are contributing to our mission by helping individuals access resources that will help them succeed in future jobs" (https://www.deseretindustries.org).

Having personally experienced the care hospice provides, shopping here felt deeper than just finding great deals--it felt like giving back. The store offers everything you'd expect from a thrift shop--housewares, artwork, furniture, clothing, jewelry, and even essentials like diapers and Depends. But what sets it apart is their boutique section, featuring higher-end items at fantastic prices. On top of that, they run additional discounts based on colored tags--I literally had to take a picture to keep track of all the deals! The organization here is impressive. Clothing is neatly arranged by size, and even the shoes are sorted the same way, which makes browsing so much easier. The displays are classy, giving the shop an elevated, boutique-like feel rather than a typical thrift store vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. They have one restroom, which was clean, and three fitting rooms. The fitting rooms are a bit on the tight side, so it may be challenging for wheelchair access, but they are functional. Overall, this shop has such good energy--great finds, thoughtful organization, and a meaningful mission.
