**During Quarantine Review: April 2021** Goodwill is usually hit or miss since it's a big thrift chain. However, the vast majority of the review here seem to have been bad experiences with the donation process. As a shopper this location has a plethora of options, and I actually ended up buying two items! It also sorta gave me Ross feels when you shop. I think it has to do with the long aisles of clothings. Pricing can be hit or miss since they do mark-up some items that they believe to be more valuable and thus could justify the higher price; however, just like any good treasure hunt sometimes they miss and you can get a great bargain! Or you can find items that are in great condition at a reasonable price. Considering the size and variety at this location I would definitely come back to see what they have. Notes *Staff wore masks and all patrons who enter must as well *I wasn't sure if the dressing room was available or not, but they do have floor length mirrors if you wanted to try things over your clothes *Parking is ample in the shopping plaza

Found this beautiful top here

I came here yesterday after going for a job interview at I was in the area and I decided I wanted to look around and see if I can find some clothes since a lot of my clothes I have donated that I haven't used in a long time right away I noticed how large the establishment And how large the aisles where which I definitely appreciate so I'm not bumping into somebody next to me because since Covid people are still very jumpy and you don't want to upset the wrong person I've noticed this personally, so I like having a little space I also noticed how clean of establishment this was very clean atmosphere and the staff working was very friendly. I came in, and I was able to find everything very easily the only thing I couldn't find was the pet aisle and a employee directed me in the right direction. And I was able to find it. I was in search of some new tops and shirts this location has a very wide selection of plus size items which I definitely appreciate this anyways I was in search of some nicer tops . I like to use them for church or special events or even for job interviews this top I found yesterday was a beautiful, nice, elegant top fit nicely, and it was only $5.99 a great deal. I love to save money so I was happy with the fact that it was so affordable this made me happy this place doesn't just have clothing they have cooking items as well. They have lots of namebrand Tupperware's lots of namebrand clothing, and I even saw a lot of stuff that still have tags on it. They also have children's toys, pet accessories, and much more. They also have a very nice selection of men's items sporting items, and much more. This is definitely a place to go. If you're trying to save money a lot of nice stuff all the stuff is like new and in case you didn't know a lot of people think that everything that they get is donated yes that is true but before they even put on the shelf everything goes through a checking process to make sure it is something that they can sell make sure it is something that they will want to take so in case people have a different idea that everything they put out there is just stuff people donate it' is simply not true they everything. I I personally know this because I've talked to other Goodwill locations and they told me everything that goes through they check it first so in case you're hesitant of this, that is not true. That is a just a old rumor anyways This is definitely an affordable place to go a lot cheaper than if I would go to the mall I would probably be spending double the amount and a lot more money that a fact so for me This is definitely a very nice establishment. You could definitely find something for everybody. They have furniture here as well. Definitely a great place score some great deals. What can I say? I love saving money I and I love a great deal. It Give me a satisfaction and excitement and a little thrill. Lol I anyways I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking for a great deal. This is a great place with several different items to choose from. Lots of name brand items to choose From Definitely something for everybody kids and toddlers and even your fury friend and they also have dressing rooms to try on the items I that way what you get will fit perfectly which I definitely appreciate back when Covid happened you could not even try on items so this is nice to have dressing rooms open and available so I appreciate this very much more than you know I highly recommend this establishment for anyone it is definitely a great place to score a nice affordable deal with lots of great treasures and good finds and a lot of saving money I will definitely be coming back here again very soon. For more and more great experiences and scoring more great savings to come thank you goodwill and Auburn. You guys are awesome. I like how clean you guys are and how efficient you guys are. I will definitely be coming back here very soon. Thank you again I appreciate all of your hard work, and I will see you again very soon. Thank you :-)

Only $20! Just need to tighten the legs!

I enjoy coming to Goodwill because of a few things. The furniture, Tupperware, and Kitchen appliances. On this particular trip, I wanted to see if they had bar stools for my friend. I'm not from Auburn, but my family lives up here so it was a great opportunity to stop at this location. As I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and a welcome. I grabbed a cart just in case because if anyone knows me, I will go into the store for one thing and walk out with much much more, lol! So on to the furniture! I did spot 2 chairs right away, a little taller than your average dinner table chair. My feet didn't quite touch the floor. It could've been perfect.. but gosh darn it... one of the seats had a split in the wood right where you sit. So unfortunately, those didn't go with me. I did turn around to find a beautiful standing jewelry box! The top opens, sides open.. 4 little drawers. Inside lined with a velvet green. Only $20!! I actually don't own a jewelry box and I need somewhere to put all my jewelry in one place so I can enjoy them all. The only thing it needed was a tightening of the screws below and maybe a new paint job(one day!) I may have accidentally broke a plate. I don't think the workers put it there. I think maybe someone had 2nd thoughts and set it down and I bumped it. As I picked it up, the workers came over right away to clean it up. They were so nice about it. Next, I went to the kitchen appliances. Their isles can be cluttered. If you're looking for something in particular, you may have to dig... So I've needed to get a new vacuum sealer/food saver and I found one!! That was only $6.50! I also got a Wolf Gang Puck rice cooker($10.50) and a cast iron skillet($5.95)! I glanced at the knives and other kitchen tools. Nothing popped out at me. Ok, now, the hard part... getting me out of there, lol! I made it out with some pretty nice treasures! What can I say...I get my thills on deals!!

I love the easy friendly drop off donation out back. So much better than Salvation Army.

Beautiful women's vintage clothes, purses, hats, scarfs, and jewelry (costume and semi precious) nicely displayed. To boot, the pricing was above Goodwill pricing but on point or lower than sellers online. Robyn's Vintage Apparel & Jewelry shop. Loved it! The merchandise is grouped by the decade. They even have vintage faux furs. The owner is also an artisan jewelry maker. Her passion for fashion and jewelry is evident. It's on Lincoln Street in the heart of Downtown. Street parking or a lot up the hill. It's the cutest shop!! Think brick walls, and lots of character and built in shelves.... Treasures both old and new. A great collection of vintage pieces and vintage feeling pieces. I was happy they were in Fall mode instead of already having everything Christmas out. It was beautiful and warm for autumn. They have classes and I hope to take one. There was a selection of paper ephemera for crafting, home decor, fragrances and more. Definitely worth a visit. Sunday, May 17th, I found myself in downtown Auburn, after visiting old town"s vintage and antique pop-up. I walked into the store and thought-wow great merchandising! I walked around for a bit and thought what a great store. It did not seem that there were any employees there. I walked the length of the store (about 5 minutes) and found that there was a young woman at the counter. This person did not greet me, or acknowledge me in any way. They saw me, and obviously heard the click of my boots on the tile floor, they then looked me and went back to clipping their toenails(?) I asked if this was their store. They said "What?" I repeated my question, and they said "no." and I said "It shows because you did not welcome your customers." And she proceeded to say "You are welcome to leave!" And I did. There were three things I would've purchased, (their prices are pretty good), but not on that day and not with that person behind the cash register. I spoke to another shop owner in town and they mentioned that they were saddened by my interaction because apparently the owner is a very customer friendly person. I'll pop in on a day when they are there.

When you step inside, it feels like you are stepping into Grandma's house, with book lined shelves in the entry & a period stove in the next room...it's cute, cozy and conducive to browsing all the little nooks and crannies within. The folks running the shop are volunteers. Unlike an experience I had at a volunteer staffed thrift shop on the opposite side of Auburn, these folks are all super friendly and that makes all the difference. The inventory is not huge, but items are well represented across various categories. Books, CD's, apparel,  Kitchenware, decor & a few antiques make up the majority of their items. If you're a fan of Victorian architecture and/or thrifting, you'll want to bookmark this business and visit soon!

Unfortunately, I have little patience for these types of stores. So, when my 19 year old daughter asked to stop here while passing through Auburn, I was less than thrilled. OH MY GOSH!! If every thrift store were like this one, I may convert. It is small, but they utilize every nook and cranny in the best of ways. It is neat, orderly and carries top quality used merchandise. They have quite a number of books, women's clothing, shoes and housewares. (Didn't really notice any men's clothing.) We walked out of the store having purchased a beautiful Scott McClintock "vintage" evening gown, another designer dress, 1 VERY stylish pair of vintage shoes that are currently in style, another pair of shoes, a Royal Albert teacup, a vintage glass jar and an OLD, OLD, OLD hand tatted doily for a grand total of $29. That's right! $29!!! Even my "you have enough antiques" husband was excited over our purchases. And the women who work here are so, so nice. They are helpful, friendly and kind. It was close to closing time and they didn't rush us one bit. The next time we drive by, through, near or next to Auburn, we will definitely be making another visit to St. Luke's Thrift Shop. GREAT place.
