I loved how many good items that they have . * A huge negative is that they ONLY TAKE CASH * They do have an atm but who wants fees when their they are trying to save money . We didn't notice the signs when me and my cousin were shopping so when it was time to pay we had to put a lot back which was a bummer . Another negative is that Name brand items NWT are pricey ! Like buying at a retail store . I bought some new expensive shoes for $20 . They were new but paying $20 for donated item sucked . I did like how they have color tags half off . That helped a lot . Found great items for great prices with the tags . I also didn't like how they staple the tags ! Agh that made us not get certain items that get ruined with a staple . Taking off the staples from clothing I bought was not cool and had to be very careful not to ruin the clothing and not pull a thread . Yeah it would be great if they used the plastic strings things that other stores use . Overall I rate this store 3.5/5 and that's comparing it to the vast majority of thrift stores I frequent.

This Salvation Army does not have a big selection as Fountain Valley's locations, but you can find some gems from time to time. Thrift store inventories always change - treasure hunting is part of the thrill. I would advise customers to examine the garment closely because they had a lot of stained clothings with holes and overstretched waistbands. The prices are a steal when they have their 50% sale. The only downside is that there are no fitting rooms available. I would recommend wearing leggings and a fitted top to just slip the clothes on you to try. Since they do not accept returns it is okay to be a bit shameless. The sizes are not organized, which is to be expected. Remember, this is a non-profit thrift store and it is has more traditional thrifting feel than big-box ones.

I came in today, and for lack of better terms, it was a mess. the clothes were disorganized, with random pieces hanging in the wrong sections, as well as clothes all over the floor, or laying on top of the racks. I was sympathetic about this, as it is a busy friday, and there were only a few workers on the floor compared to the large number of elderly and poser teenagers sifting through the items without care. It previously hadn't gotten that bad before though. However something that stuck out to me was the interaction I had while checking out, or I should say lack of interaction. An adult man checked me out, and whilst hardly acknowledging me, he was conversing with another guy at the neighboring register. I'll admit, I was eavesdropping. This man was complaining about only getting short shifts and how the company was being greedy with hours. -"f*** I wish I could get a lunch for once" This was funny to me, because you work at a thrift store. its not a career. maybe find a better source of income at ur grown age idk...After checking me out, I said thank you and he continued conversing whilst ignoring me. I will continue returning, but I suggest you hire more competent staff that actually respect their employment. -On a side note I appreciate the girl with eyeliner and a facemask that I always see. I primarily hunt for electronics, which this location was "mid" on. More than some locations, but not at much as some others. They do have a large clothing section though, which my daughter loves and I'm sure is likely more of a revenue generator vs. a pile of old VCR's and karaoke machines. What they did have though was a well maintained aisle of stuffed animals, which has recently found its way on to my radar. I came out with 3x Squishmallows that made the trip totally worthwhile. There's treasure in everything, you just need to know what to look for. I'll be back to this location soon, and you should as well. :)
