I called to confirm a gentleman very arrogantly told me somebody would be there between 130 and 4:30 PM. I waited the entire day no-show and no call. I do not recommend donating to this company. You're better off just calling 311 and dumping the item. If you can't turn it in yourself, I don't know how the Salvation Army doesn't bother to hire more employees if they make money off a donations and can't be bothered to pick up the item scheduled. I would've at least have been more understanding of a phone call of some kind, but I received no consideration in this regard of my time.

The other half of the large space is a Habitat for Humanity re-store with tons of furniture, Knick-knacks, lights and pretty much everything else you can think of! On this visit I had a cortado, which was strong, smooth and well made. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. What I like most is the atmosphere. During my visit I saw families browsing books while enjoying a drink, friends meeting for coffee and people having informal meetings. It feels like a place where you can spend time rather than simply stop by. The balcony seating looked especially appealing for reading or quiet study, with a good view over the café below. There were a lot of dodgy people roaming around. The store was messy. The store was dirty. The floor needed to be swept, mopped, and waxed. It smells a little musty. The furniture section was very limited. I walked out of the store with a nice stack of books for a mere $7.16. I did score a bargain. The employee that rang me out was filled with kindness.
