The other half of the large space is a Habitat for Humanity re-store with tons of furniture, Knick-knacks, lights and pretty much everything else you can think of! The book prices are particularly good and make it easy to take a chance on an unfamiliar author or genre. The café serves very good coffee. On this visit I had a cortado, which was strong, smooth and well made. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. What I like most is the atmosphere. During my visit I saw families browsing books while enjoying a drink, friends meeting for coffee and people having informal meetings. It feels like a place where you can spend time rather than simply stop by. The balcony seating looked especially appealing for reading or quiet study, with a good view over the café below. The small appliance section had a nice selection. The book section was really nice. It was sectioned off and contained a great assortment of books. Now for the bad. The parking was very sketchy. There were a lot of dodgy people roaming around. The store was messy. The store was dirty. The floor needed to be swept, mopped, and waxed. It smells a little musty. The furniture section was very limited. I walked out of the store with a nice stack of books for a mere $7.16. I did score a bargain. The employee that rang me out was filled with kindness.
