Out of all the places I have ever been to and people I have met, I have never been to a place like Good News or have met people like them.
Good News is like many of the other great stuff on earth because it is best experienced first hand rather then only read summed up in a review. For instance, although I could tell you about a well composed symphony, a beautiful sunset, a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, or Disneyland and you would only get an idea of how amazing these things are but would never truely know about them until you encounter them for yourself. This is how Goodnews is.
Walking into Goodnews is like entering a whole new realm- a heavenly realm where God reigns in the hearts and minds of the people.
-Because God is here, there is LOVE. Unearned, unconditional, uncritical, just pure love. Come as you are, be who you be and you will find, like many before you, that you are loved.
-Because God is here, there is FREEDOM. Dance, sing, laugh, cry, sit in a chair, lay down to take a nap, or do nothing at all. Do as you please and you will find, like many before you, that you are free.
-Because God is here, there is HEALING. Brokenhearted, confused, depressed, sick and/or hurting in your body. No matter what ails you , you will find, like many before you, that you are HEALED.
-Because God is here, there is FUN. Better then any party you have ever been to...it is unexplicably awesome! Enjoy God (even if you don't believe in Him!), have God enjoy you, and enjoy one another and you will find, like many before you, yourself having fun.
-LOVE, FREEDOM, HEALING, FUN... and the beat goes on because there is an unending goodness to be discovered about God. A goodness that you do not have to wait to experience, but that you can experience right now.
My last note on Good News is that they are the real deal. The only thing that truly sets them apart from other churches and Christians is that they simply believe the gospel that has been given to them.
Good News believes this gospel so much that practicing it expands far beyond the four walls of a local church building. I say this because I did not first meet Good News by attending one of their meetings, but rather walking around, living my day-to-day life in Riverside. So do not be surprised if you too are walking around and meet people who bring God's love, freedom, healing, fun, etc into your day-to-day living and when you ask them what church they are from, they say, "Good News".
So give Goodnews a chance to experience something that is meant to be seen, heared, touched, and tasted for yourself!

P.S. In case you were wondering (like Jesse F. was in the quick tip section) there is a drunk monk on Good New's signbord. He is intoxicated, enjoying, and fully satisfied with the New Wine Jesus has poured out for ALL to enjoy. :) read more
