So glad we did!! The service is great, and the food really fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated. It has a good level of spice, too, which is not easy to find in France (they don't do "spicy" here). We've brought friends and family here when they've visited. On a fine evening at 6:30 we walked up to this totally empty restaurant only to be told there are no tables inside or out - that too in broken two word English sentences! We didn't believe all those empty tables are reserved, especially when the place has a whole of 6 reviews on Yelp! We insisted on speaking in English as none of us knew any French. Boy did we feel like we hit an oasis in the French desert when we found one guy that said he speaks little English! He must have felt sympathetic to our sorry Non-French asses and gave us a table outside. Then comes the fun part, the menu is in total French!!! I being the super geek, whipped up my iPhone and started google translator to figure it out. After a few attempts we ordered pad Thai and cashew chicken and asked to make it spicy - yeah, us poor soles that hate bland food and believe it should be a crime to even offer bland food!! He gave us some dirty looks, yes I know they are dirty looks, I have been to Thailand myself! Anyway, the food came super fast and we finished it faster than it came! It was ok in Thai terms but must be super awesome in French terms (or may be super nasty for the spice and taste averse French palette?) Second to me I tried to call but they wouldn't pick up the phone! So I walked down at 6:30 to be told there are no tables! Again, not even a fly was there! I asked if I can place an order for carry out. The English speaking lad hesitated but told me to come after 7:00. I was persistent and asked if I could place the order then and come pick it up after 7. He scratched his head and took my order and said after 7:20. When I walked in, he stars in the French skies are in my favor, they had my food ready and also had a dessert item added just to show their appreciation!!

The dried shrimp was a little bit hard, but everything else was great. The Thai Sausages ( 8/10 ) were salty with a little bit of tang, and when eaten with a nibble of ginger and Thai chili, the grease blended so well. The Steamed Fish ( 2.5/10 ) was quite disappointing as there was barely any flavor to the sauce. It was also really pricey (over 20 Euros) for the small amount of fish - which is understandable because it's seafood - but the quality of the dish did not makeup for the high price whatsoever. The Rice Porridge ( 8/10 ) was really comforting and very tasty, and had ginger, fried onions, pork, and green onions in it. Nothing too special, but a tasty broth and great combination of good ingredients. SERVICE : The two servers working were nice and made sure I always had water, and would check up on how the meal was. Nothing too special, but it was pleasant to eat there. DETAILS : This place was a total random hole in the wall I found, but the food absolutely blew my mind. The dining room is not that big but every restaurant in Paris is kind of small. The hot tea is not free like in America. What you want to get is the loc lac with a fried egg on top. Everything is better with a fried egg but the loc lack from siam@siam is one of the best I've had and I've been to south east Asia multiple times. It's clean and the people are extremely friendly. The restaurant is located in the heart of China town and everyone speak chiu chow there. Some of the younger waiters speak a little English so it's easier to navigate. Being in this neighbor hood always reminds me of summers as a child. I lived in the tokyo towers across the street and walked through geant to get to this restaurant. They have pictures so you can just point to what looks delicious. You won't be disappointed! Trust me!
