This preschool is perfect for introducing kids to an environment that makes them feels safe,…read moreinteretested, challenged, comfortable, and loved. The small classsrooms give kids a greater oppertunity to strive, with more individual based activites. Ive been so happy about sending my kids to this local preschool. I just love how hometown, and friendly it feels. Plus my kids are getting what they need to be prepared for kindergarten! We Love MUMS!!

I just wanted to take a few moments and recommend a Christian pre-school program my two daughters…read morehave attended, recently. Finding an equal balance of pre-school education for kindergarten preparation, child social development and the teaching of Christian principles is a difficult search these days. There exists a program in the West Chester, Pennsylvania area that achieves this unique balance, in my opinion. MUM's Christian Pre-school. As I stated in my opening comment, both my daughters have attended the four year old program. My oldest daughter is now in 1st grade and recalls many of her positive experiences with pre-school to this day. She not only gets along with her current first grade classmates, her behavior in class has been exceptional and she has been recommended for school enrichment programs. My youngest daughter is enrolled in the pre-school program, currently. Her overall development has taken an incredible leap forward this school year. Her confidence grows with each passing day. I can not thank program director Gwen Marone enough. She is a wonderful person and has years of pre-school teaching experience to incorporate with the development of the children. Gwen's dedication to detail is obvious. She spends many hours preparing programs and weekly learning themes for the children. Gwen has a high level of understanding on what modern kindergarten programs are like. Her instructional classroom skill exercises begin this foundation for your child. Saying I am pleased, would be an understatement. It's a community oriented program that makes everyone feel welcomed, even if you are not a member of the immediate local community or church. Please take time to learn more about the MUM's Christian Pre-school program. You will be pleased you did. Your child will learn, grow and most importantly, have fun doing it. My kids absolutely loved the camp offered by this school!!! They were super excited to go each day…read moreand looked forward to the scheduled activities. Their summer was jam packed with fun. Not only did each week have a fun and creative theme, they were also loaded with field trips and swimming. They also really connected with the Christian songs and instructions. My eldest child would come home in the evenings and YouTube videos of the songs they learned at camp. Both kids sing and do hand motions to the songs. I LOVE seeing them this excited about the Bible! As a parent knowing my kids are happy is super important. I also need to know that they are safe. I really felt like the camp did a great job with this as well. The doors are secure, they adhere to a buddy system and I was ID'd during pickup when new teachers did not know me at the beginning of summer. My interactions with the staff (counselors and front staff) has all been professional. One time my youngest child had a sore belly. They called me and kept him in the office until I arrived. They were also very helpful with any other questions and concerns I had. We are not members of this church or school but due to such a great summer experience we attended a service and it truly felt like home. What a great place!

calvary is a good school overall and Mr Lewis and his wife are amazing people here are my problems…read morewarnings all they do is not give kids ice cream but any kid with a warning can just go to the store and buy some and the teachers are focused towards girls and it is extremely unfair another complaint the bathroom door on one of the doors dosent lock people are extremely uncomfortable in there knowing any kid can open the door on them but the some of the teachers are amazing like Mr Mayer and dr elk too and Mrs Peffer and Mrs Lewis does his best because most pf this things are caused by kids but they still need to be fixed

DVCS has been a blessing for our family. My children were hesitant to begin a new school this year…read morebut they quickly came to thoroughly enjoy their time at school. This year our house has been full of the songs they've learned, songs full of grammar, history, geography, Latin and beautiful songs of praise to God. I have learned so much just by listening to them sing. There were challenges but the teachers and student resource office were right there to support and encourage when it was needed. This is an education full of the good, true, and beautiful. You will wish you could go back to school with your kids.

We prayed for this school, not knowing it existed. My son struggles at his "christian" school now…read moreand I prayed for direction. My husband pointed out this church saying he was baptized there when he was young. I remember hearing there was a school in the church so I looked into it. They offered a very detailed tour in the middle of a school day so you see exactly what you are getting!!! They let your child shadow another student for a day so my son got to attend class with his age group and wanted to switch schools that day. They tested him for placement and held a meeting with us before we made our decision and this school truly partners with you. Admission has been so amazing thanks to Sherri. She is a gem and I adore her so much. Very excited about what this school has to offer.

St John Baptist Church is a friendly church located in Columbia. I recently visited their morning…read moreservice and was very impressed. The music and sermons were all very well done, and the interior of the church is very bright and inviting. They are also great with time management. The service went as follows, Song (everyone), responsive reading, announcements, song (choir), welcoming visitors, offertory prayer, offering, song (choir), announcements, sermon, invitation to discipleship, song (choir), alter call, song (choir). Some how, they were able to fit all of this into 8:00am to 9:00am! Plus, they actually started at 8:05 to allow for stragglers. The Church performs its offerings by passing baskets through the pews while the choir sings. They handout tithe envelopes at the entrance with the programs, and encourage those that are donating change or who don't have anything to donate, to just use the envelope so no one will feel uncomfortable. The only small issue I had with the service was the welcoming of visitors. They did a friendly welcoming, which is nice, but after they ask you to stand up, they then ask everyone around you to stand up and "greet you warmly," which can be a bit much for people that like to keep to themselves. Overall, its a great church, and I look forward to returning.
