Before I go into this, know that there is no malicious intent with this review. I write to inform…read morenewcomers of what they might expect and to the professional how she can improve. The facts: the table is extremely hard; there is no padding at all. The Apple Music used includes commercials. My experience: Brittany seemed unsure of her technique and movements; she didn't focus on any problem areas very long and was just kind of all over the place. The table, as stated above, made it quite difficult for me to roll over onto my back due to being so stiff. Days later, I'm finding it hard to bend over or move regularly because of it. I asked for deep tissue, but what I got was more of just your average Swedish massage. The excessive amount of massage cream that was used made me uncomfortable (less is more), as I felt like I was being lubed up and was a bit slurpy sounding. She pointed out the tipping option upon paying, which I don't feel is a professional thing to do. The cupping option was nice and she did bust out a couple of nice moves, but the pressure and consistency just was not there for me. Based upon my experience, I cannot recommend Brittany for anyone experiencing back or hip problems based on the table that she uses. I would highly recommend that she practice her technique to get repeat customers and upgrade her music subscription.

I wasn't sure what to expect. When I arrived, the building is dated, very dated. Parking is in the rear, so I went in the back door (oops) didn't see the Employees Only sign- but it wasn't a big deal. The interior matched the exterior, very 1984, smallish, but clean. I was greeted by a very friendly Receptionist who gave me one standard form to fill out. Joni greeted me after I was done with the form and took me back to what she called their small room- and it was small, but cozy. Lovely music on- regular massage room - well with the added bonus of a 1980's wallpaper boarder around the ceiling. The 60 minute massage was incredible. I've had many massages at different places, and Joni was a master. Honestly If I lived in Alexandria I would be on her schedule every week. The Coupon was for $38 for a 60 min massage (which included hot stones)- I checked the price list when I was checking out to make sure to give her a tip based on the regular price, and the regular price for 60 minutes is only $42! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Alexandria - coupon or not!

Where to start...I had scheduled an hour and a half massage with Taunya. I will say that her…read moremassage is just "okay". Throughout the massage she put the lotion in her hand and vigorously rubbed her hands together which made this horrible gross squelching sound. She would benefit from a lotion warmer. Her technique is very monotonous and she does not work meticulously on the problematic parts of the muscles; it's very general and uses fist/forearm only. I'm not sure what on earth she was doing with my fingers by moving them all in a circle(super weird and pointless). She worked my legs much too long and very aggressively in just one spot over and over again in long strides without lessening pressure on tender areas such as right below the knees and top of femur. After each limb she would cover me up and lay her hands on me and pause for a long time. I asked for a gluteal massage and she only just barely went over them while she was working my legs. When it came time to roll over, she left the room for FIVE minutes; You did not read that incorrectly as I actually counted the ticking of the clock on the wall. I figured she would just work me for five more minutes so I didn't think much of it at the time. I specifically said that I had a lot of tension in my back and neck and since she had spent so much time on my legs, only worked my neck/back for about ten minutes total. That's ten minutes of a 90 minute massage; purely UNACCEPTABLE. When she left the room at the end of the massage I realized that she had only massages for 84 minutes. First of all, that's not okay because I arrived expecting 90 minutes. Because she left the room for five minutes mid-massage, I feel that I was strongly ripped off. I addressed this with her after the massage and she did not say anything to redeem herself. I paid her in full, but will not be returning. If she hadn't ripped me off at the end, I would have given her an "okay" rating given she's not super experienced. This is the second time(out of two visits!) that I've had bad luck at this particular office.
