They had arranged a table full of things that our mother meant to us and her friends and the food was terrific. Again, we didn't have to worry about anything and if we did someone from the team was right there to take that burden from us. I enjoy walking old graveyards. We seemed to have more reverence for our loved ones and many of the graves were adorned with the photos of people who left this earth a hundred years ago. One cool set of headstones, well, statues actually, were of a doctor and his wife. Again, I find that people had more reverence for the graves of their loved ones. I am happy that I found this historic graveyard. For me, there is something to be said about walking through the final resting spot where people rest after spending a complete life, filled with joy and laughter, as well as sadness and tears. I do recall my mother being quite upset when she was alive that the groundskeepers or landscapers had appeared to chip my grandfather's headstone with the mower. Other than that, I personally have had no issues with the cemetery other than the delay with my mother's headstone but things happen. It is very large and maintained well I'd say.

I'm sure if you know where you're going, you'd have no trouble. Most of the cemetery is driveable with wider lanes suitable for parking. I suggest you find a shady spot and then get out to walk. Over the years our poor record keeping meant that in 2018 we were unsure where his final resting place was. Craig Nelson answered the phone (outside of normal business hours!) and took down what little information I had. He promised to see what he could find and arranged a time to call me back. He went above and beyond to locate the records and help us figure out where my great grandfather was buried and all of us are so thankful. They don't use an answering service, so I was able to talk to him right away. He was kind, helpful, professional and empathetic - I can't imagine a better character for someone in this industry. He didn't try to brush off my call or delay returning my call, even though we were customers 40+ years ago. He treated me with respect and kindness. For a family who is grieving, I doubt there's a better place to gather and remember loved ones lost.
