Bob from Tom Sparks is a good man. First of all, he answers every phone with a positive attitude…read more Second, he is honest. I took my vehicle to get inspected and serviced. During the appointment, they noticed a few things wrong regarding my tires, rotor, and pins. Rather than going through with the service of balancing and rotating tires- which would've left me me with the issues I was unaware of (worn tread, seized pin, worn rotors)- Bob notified me that I should address these 3 issues before going through with my originally desired maintenance. They chose to prioritize the customer rather than going through with the service that wouldn't have done anything in the grand scheme. For this I rate 5 stars and highly recommend the service department. I will also return here for my future needs and recommend this place to everyone. These are guys you want to pay to inspect your vehicle.

After buying a car from Tom Sparks Auto recently, the office gave out personal information about my…read moreloan and car to someone not on the loan, a person I have worked to distance myself and my children from for safety reasons. They had no authorization from me to do so, and this person had nothing to do with my loan or purchase. I went in to speak to them about it, to give them a chance to own up to the wrongdoing and sincerely apologize for their wrong. All I got was excuses about how the person presented himself as my husband and they give that info out often. He didn't even know my actual last name or how to spell it. That should have been a big, red flag. Although, their actions were very wrong even without any red flags, and they should have known better. I will never, ever give them any further business, and I will actively discourage people from using this business. Shame on them.

Bill White's C.A.R. Hospital is the only repair shop I ever want to go to...ever! And, I am an…read moreuptight freak about car repair: terrified of unanticipated problems and high repair costs. I've used Bill White's C.A.R. Hospital several times this summer. My car is fun to drive, but at 15 years old, it always needs something. My greatest concern is an unanticipated breakdown, and that's exactly what happened the first time I visited the C.A.R. Hospital. Usually, there's a clear view from the shop area to the waiting area/service desk--where I anxiously crane my neck to see where my car sits in the line of work. Usually, the waiting area is cramped and unclean, a place for stale coffee and man-picked TV. Usually, I find myself on the receiving end of vague terms with hens-and-haws, until I prove my cursory understanding of a fuel combustion engine and the ABS system. Here's what it's like at Bill White's: complementary beverages if you need to wait; free local pick-up and drop-off when requested; always friendly and polite service counter assistance by Rachel, Joy, and Bill; absolutely clear communication about diagnosis of problem and solution to problem, clear communication about the reasonable price of service or repair, and clear communication about exactly when work will be completed; lastly, there's a thank you card or coupon in the mail--real savings, not just some stupid systems-check, on something a car really needs. Did I mention that I'm an uptight freak about car repair?! If Bill White's C.A.R. Hospital can make a vehicle repair neurotic like me happy, I'm certain everyone should choose this business.

Wasted my time. I…read morecalled ahead and spent about 20 minutes explaining my situation: my catalytic converter is failing, the OEM part is around $4,000, and I was looking for a shop willing to install an aftermarket part. I made it clear I understood the risks and that there would be no guarantee if I went aftermarket. After hearing the price, the person on the phone said they spoke with a manager and that they were willing to work with me after doing a diagnostic. When I arrived in person, it was as if that entire conversation never happened. They refused to quote or consider aftermarket at all, despite me repeating that I understood the risks. When I mentioned the phone call, they dismissed it and even suggested I must have called the wrong place--despite having all my information for the appointment and it being my first time there. I don't fault any shop for choosing not to install aftermarket parts. I fault them for telling me one thing over the phone just to get me in the door. If I hadn't double‑checked, they absolutely would have charged me for the diagnostic and then refused to do the work they previously agreed to.

I brought my vehicle in for diagnostics only and was quoted over $1,200 for an EVAP vent valve…read morereplacement, including a part priced at $475 and 3-4 hours of labor. When I asked for the part number, dealer list price, or book labor time, none were provided. I was also told a wheel might need to be removed, which is not consistent with standard labor procedures for this repair. When I asked for clarification, the explanations changed and no documentation was offered. I ultimately declined the repair because the estimate didn't align with typical part pricing or labor times for this job, and I wasn't comfortable approving work without clear supporting information. I paid for the diagnostic work and took the car elsewhere. I'm sharing this so other customers know to ask for part numbers, labor book times, and written documentation before approving repairs.

One they did not do at all (bleed brakes), the other they returned the car reassembled incorrectly, other systems now not functioning, and new parts broken by the tech. Additionally the very high bill is not itemized with the labor rate & hrs vs parts. The owner only repeated his techs excuses and not serious about fixing the issues or explaining the bill. Beware! All the signals are here. I will not be back unless it's the free tire rotations that come with the tires i bought here years ago. Will not spend another dime at Bunges

Over the years, I'd come to know the guys at the counter well and they had built up some trust with me. For this recent service, I had obtained a quote from a local dealership of $460. I typically would go to Bunge's to avoid paying "dealer" prices. When I told the man at the counter the dealership price, he said that he'd match that price. In the end, the total cost of the service came in at $451 (just below the dealership cost). I'm thrilled that they matched the dealer price and I was able to support a local independent business. They even gave me a ride home after I dropped off my car.
