A gorgeous old bakery run by two chatty women. They speak only French and the moment I stepped in with the dog they come over and gave him croissant and started yapping away at me in French. I understood some of it and was able to find out about their breads. It's unlike many French bakeries as their breads are more dense akin to German bread and their baguettes are made from whole meal flour. Great breads and loved their multi grain loaf. They had tons of cakes and things I did not try. There was a line up in the morning of regulars coming to get their loaf of bread. I really liked the bread here and they were very friendly and welcoming at the shop. A great bakery in town. read more

Their macaroons were fantastic. I had a red velvet and a chocolate macaroon. They were wonderful! Unfortunately, their other desserts were really poor quality and ended up being thrown away. My wife tried a brownie (which looked great) but was so, so dry. Macaroons yes. Other dessert, skip this place. read more

As was their coffee and chocolate tart. I had the lemon tart as well and it was divine. They have perfected the fine art of pastry making and something the French do exceptionally well. I came back here for a second time on NYE and there was a line of about 40 people waiting to buy dessert and cakes here. Obviously very popular with the locals (none of the other pastry shops I saw had a line up on that day). Staff are very friendly and no English is spoken. I managed with my broken French and they were very polite. It's an all female shop and they wrap everything up beautifully to ensure that you can carry it home without damaging the delicate pastries. A must stop in Nancy. It's just delicious.

We found this shop via another on-line review. When we walked and looked around, we said to…read moreourselves, "where are the macaroons?" We looked and looked and didn't see any so we turned around and walked out. There in the window we saw boxes of macaroons. So we headed right back in to find those darn macaroons. Turns out this shop only sells boxed "sets" of macaroons and there's only one flavor - naturale. The macaroons are large and not the traditional filled cookies that we're used to. I think we paid € 7.80 for 10 or 12 macaroon cookies. A good deal. And these are nice and crispy on the outside and chewy/gooey on the inside. Perfect cookies. So if you want a great deal on non-colored/filled macaroons, this is the shop to visit!

We ate inside and the atmosphere was lively though not overwhelming. The food was good, not great. We both had the Quiche Lorraine and then parted ways on the main course. One trout over sauerkraut and one 7 hour veal with vegetables. Both were tasty, no complaints. Just not 5 stars. The desserts were really good. Mille Feuille with fresh vanilla and Crème Brûlée with bergamot. Great finish to a nice meal.
