Our family of 5 went there and booked a weekday rate of $120 for three hours. We ordered chicken wings, tenders and a pretzel to share and my kids and I had standard beverage while the hubby had two cocktails Our bill ended up being $340. THEY CHARGED US A RATE OF $49/hr for the simulator (vs the $40) and they charged $2.75 for each drink refill. At no time did they advise that refills were extra. They only asked "would you like a refill?". When I explained my frustration they flat told me "there's nothing we can do". When I asked if there was a manager on duty they told me "no". So I took the card on the counter. And then the server asked me "so, you mean at restaurants they don't charge you for refills on drinks like Dr Pepper and Lemonade" This whole experience is INFURIATING. Never would I expect to take my family out to a location like this order traditional bar and grill food and get a bill for $340. BEWARE and avoid this place. There are MUCH better places to spend your money. I have written to the manager asking for a refund of the drink refills, the tip and a reduction in the simulator rate to match the online booking price. I'm cautious but hopeful they will do the right thing.

My dad claims "I like to support small businesses" fair enough but this guy is basically a con man. I came in with a head of Paradym X and told him the shaft broke which it did. (The shaft broke just because of extensive use.) he tried to tell me that it wasn't because of the shaft it was because of my swing/ball contact. Now I'm totally up for constructive criticism but this is just a red flag for multiple reasons. For one it isn't true because the day it broke I was hitting drives consistently 280 in the fairway so I know for a fact it wasn't off the heel. Another reason comes from a business perspective it dosent seem like that would be the best thing to say if you're trying to sell something to someone. The last thing is that he claimed to be a big Mizuno fan which I'm starting to think was a lie because my dad told him that we both love Mizuno. My dad told him he has mp 20 hmb irons which he does and his first response was, are you sure those are real? He said that Mizuno only maid irons in odd numbers. This is just false but the icing on the cake was when he claimed that he then used mp 60 irons in his bag which is an even number. Moral of the story is we were in there for less then 30 minutes and was by far the worst shopping experience I've ever had 1/10 would not recommend stay away.

Tom Watson designed the course and he has made public statements that The National is the course he is most proud to have designed. There are only a handful of truly thriving golf clubs left in the KC Metro area and the National is top of the heap... If someone needs to ask how much it costs to become a member, this is probably not the right place for them... The clubhouse and surrounding areas are beautiful and every detail is well-designed and maintained... The course is a real challenge, it is long with plenty of trouble and blind-shots due to the rolling hills. The signature hole is #9 with a tee box perched on a cliff over 100 feet above the fairway... The right side of the fairway is guarded by a lake so be sure to hit it straight!

Also, nice new golf carts vs. some places that have a plaque that says " Jack Nicklaus rode in this as a teenager." The course is beautiful laid out, well manicured , and plenty of old growth trees to add a degree of difficulty to the game, but challenges hone your skills. Afterward, we went back to the clubhouse where we enjoyed some food and adult beverages, enhanced by the magnificent view of the course while out on the deck.
