We're just getting into golfing, so I can't compare this to any other club rental or talk much about the quality of the clubs (they seemed great to me, but I'm a rookie!), but the service was fantastic and the price was incredibly reasonable. The guys were friendly and helpful, and when we booked an afternoon tee time on the day our clubs were due back, they let us drop them off at the clubhouse upstairs without any issue. We'll for sure be back on our next vacation!

The manufacturer's rep was at our club for a demo day and assured me the clubs were at least an inch too short. I couldn't hit them. Chris offered to fix them but by then, I didn't trust him. My pro put extensions in. I now have a set of $3800 clubs that have been patched. Chris sent $275 as an accommodation. Please be careful.

The greens and fairways were like carpets, the rough was thick but not terribly penalizing, and the sand was beautiful. All of that said, the course is not easy. The greens rolled true but gripped the ball some, and some of the holes had a lot of sand. My partner commented that the back nine felt like "Florida golf." It has a lot of water and natural penalties. Among the best kept courses I've played. This seemed ok because if you looked online, it appeared that the course was pretty empty. I thought when I started at 1pm as a twosome, on a fairly empty course, i was thinking 3 hour round. However, when i was there for warm up the course appeared to be full. Multiple different sizes of groups went out, few foursomes, couple threesomes, a single, and a bunch of twosomes. As a golf course worker, this is an incredibly poor way of running a tee sheet, and it leads to very slow rounds. Our round took 4 hours 15 minutes, we waited on every shot. Now playing a sunday afternoon in 4 hrs. 15 min would be great for a foursome, but not a twosome. The greens were in excellent shape. There was still a lot of dormant grass, but the fairways were in good shape. Only one tee box was in bad shape (17). A number of the bunkers are dirt or that terrible river sand / silt I liked the course, but the back 9 was a shock, considering this was my first time playing. The 2 nines are very different in design. The front plays through the trees. The greens are flater and seem slower than the back. The back seems to have more water and bunkers in play. The greens are much more ungulated and seem lighting fast. In fact, there were 3 different putts that rolled off the green to the fairway. Try to be below the hole to leave an uphill putt. However, there were a couple where the severe breaks are either left or right. Uphill putts are slow, downhill are lighting. The course has good length, about 67 to 6800 from the tips. The front tees were about 4700, which was a good length for my wife, as she mentioned how hard the course was for her. Course is beautiful and staff friendly (no one to greet you at the bag drop, so you save on tipping there). Just a little disappointing that the pace of play was dreadfully slow (and errant sprinklers) on an island where golf is the major industry.
