During our trip to Andalusia Spain last year, I did a bit of record shopping. While driving through Malaga and surrounding area, we passed through the beautiful beach town of Fuengirola. As I looked out the car window I saw large wall murals of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Angus Young, Bob Marley, and Jim Morrison. I said to my wife, "that must be a record store!". Goldisc is a perfect example of quality over quantity, as compared to many larger (sometimes overwhelming) record stores, this is a small store with an outstanding selection of vinyl and CD's. So many obscure Spanish rock bands of the 1970's/80's (prog, hard rock, psych, jazz, and metal), along with several other rare titles and releases by better known artists all in excellent condition. The records were reasonably priced, the proprietor was super friendly, and he gave me some great deals. We chatted for a long time about music, different pressings from around the world, etc. A long time collector just like me, with very similar tastes. read more
