Kimmmy, Kim, KIM, GIRL! Some of the BEST SERVICE in Waldorf. Her service was prompt, professional…read moreand kind. I love a server who doesn't hover but always checks to see if everything is going well. She def rocked! I have been so excited to get on and share how incredible this place is since we left. My husband asked if I wanted to go back, within the week. This is *UNHEARD* of. I don't know if he has ever loved a restaurant so quickly and so MUCH. He's been craving seafood boils for a few days now, so he suggested we go this afternoon. We went around 3-4pm. The crowd was minimal, but still, there were probably 15-20 tables full. It's a nice sized restaurant , about the size of a "pub"/local dive bar. The hostess was really welcoming (no eye rolling or impatience!!). She greeted us with a smile and a kind gesture and promptly sat us in a booth. The entire restaurant was clean, whimsical and smelled like old bay and garlic. Great art and seafood accoutrements all over the walls and booths The music was 2000s R&B and couldn't have been more perfect. Our server was incredible. We were given two very easy to understand menus and a "basket" of popcorn! It tasted like movie theater popcorn , our cups which were paper cups and a paper table cloth which lent to the "crab house" vibe we love so much, "seafood sauce" (mayo based siracha sauce think, with old bay? - it's like a spiced Big Mac sauce), clarified butter, cocktail sauce, gloves, a garbage pail, crab cracker tools and plastic silverware, and wet wipes and bibs (which I used because of course I visited in a white shirt!) After no more than a 10-15 minute wait, we had our boils "Rocked and Tossed" right to the table!! Seasoning 100% covered everything!! We ordered: Freshly brewed, 1/2&1/2 sweet/unsweetened tea. (It was very reminiscent of Chick-Fil-A tea/McDonald's tea...the good kind!) Not overly iced. So delicious!! Husband: 1 combo boil with snow crab legs, sausage and extra corn, (comes with corn and potatoes), garlic seasoning and medium heat. His garlic sauce smelled to die for. Very well rounded, (I tasted it). It had sliced garlic in it and wasn't too salty at all. The medium heat wasn't too hot, but don't take my word for it, get the heat level you like. His crab legs pulled *perfectly*. The sausage was wonderfully Smokey with that crispy/crunchy edge. The corn was tender and juicy, not overly cooked and the potatoes melted like butter. Me: 1 combo boil with snow crabs and crawfish and added hard boiled eggs (also comes with corn and potatoes), "Rocking Bomb" seasoning (old bay, garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun). *I have never had crawfish THIS good in my entire life.* I genuinely cannot describe the euphoria I had with words, but I'll try. They weren't muddy/fishy. They absorbed the flavors so well, yet preserved the firm but tender texture of the meat. They were very easy to break into, just like the crab legs. Nothing got stuck or jammed. The eggs were a balanced addition, soaking up all that awesome flavor. I ate one half way through and the second at the end. Again, nothing was abnormally fishy. Seafood can, at times, taste a little too oceanic. Everything came out piping hot, but not so hot you couldn't tear right into it. Both boils were nice and buttery. We tried using the gloves but ended up tossing them. They have sinks right in the open so it is easy to get up and wash up if you get too messy. (The bathrooms are on the smaller side - with the women being two stalls, and I didn't see any others, so the extra sinks really come in handy). There was a very kind gentleman bussing tables. He was fast and thorough. He was very pleasant to us as we walked by him. Very courteous!!! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Literally nothing was bad. I cannot wait to go back and hope they stay in business for a millennia to come. I believe we found THE best seafood boil restaurant in all of Maryland!!

As I started to eat, I noticed I only received 1 cluster and a 2 tiny loose legs in the bag. When I brought it to the server's attention, the manager came over and tried to tell me that the 2 small loose legs counted as a second cluster. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and making it right, she went back and forth with me in front of my 6-year-old child while attempting to put her finger in my bag to count the 2 little loose legs out to me. I've been coming here for over a year, and I have never received 1 cluster and a 2 tiny legs that would count as a full pound. A full pound should come with 2 full clusters. The customer service and professionalism during this situation were very disappointing. I usually never complain but I felt this was much needed. Unfortunately, this experience has made me decide not to return. Rock and Toss just lost a loyal customer. Don't come here unless you want to get less than what you paid for!

I completely lost my appetite and requested for the manager. As far as the food today it wasn't it I have had better from here. Could have been better, we did appreciate our server letting us know she would be gone a while due to a large party. This was the only downside of our visit. While she was away maybe another team member, manager could have assisted. The beer was hot. They did not have any cold glasses, which to me is a little odd. I love beer with my seafood. Glad I was on mommy duty and did not order one, my sister did and was not happy. The bar was packed, the restaurant ran smoothly for the amount of people we saw seated.

Only been to the new location in La Plata maybe once since they moved here. I stopped coming because I didn't like how they fried the fish. The coating isn't nice and crispy. It's too light and just flakes off. Anyway, my family and I decided to order from here tonight 3-30-26. I ordered two croaker baskets and a jumbo shrimp basket. Placed my order at 5:07 pm. This was after standing in a long line. Walked down to Giant to make a purchase and then came back to my food still not ready. Finally decided to ask after sitting here for 20 minutes! How about the order was never put in! How the heck is that possible when I paid and have the receipt. Watched people that ordered after me get their food and leave. Here it is 5:56 pm and I still don't have my food! They said they put it in and it will be out soon. Several other orders have come out and I'm still sitting here! I tired to give y'all another chance. No apology or offer of anything. Yeah I'm pretty sure I won't be back! Do better! Oh finally got my food at 6pm. Carlita the cashier was the only one that really acknowledged what happened. Where's the manager! She should have come out to offer an apology. Smh.

I placed an order for pickup and when I got to the restaurant and received my order, I didn't realize until I got in my car to check to make sure the order was correct to discover it wasn't. The crazy thing is I ordered the 2 fried crab cakes with coleslaw; however, they gave us French fries. I also ordered the 5 whole wings with fries, and 2 sweet teas. I went back and told them they gave me fries with the crabcakes versus cole slaw. Which should have been something simple like give me the cole slaw, the manager insisted I bring the food back into the restaurant so they can take the fries out and exchange them for the cole slaw. Now maybe I think differently than others, but why would you insist...well demand that I bring food back so you can REMOVE what you mistakenly placed in my order. I thought wait I've taken this food outside it's in my car and you're demanding I bring it back so you can remove the fries that you're going to trash (or are you)? The fact that she didn't see anything wrong with this is a problem, so instead of giving me the coleslaw I simply returned the entire order and got my $55.00 back. She would rather refund me $55.00 versus giving me a side of coleslaw as the mistake wasn't on my part but theirs. Needless to say, I will never patronize this business again, because it makes me wonder how many others have returned their food because their order was wrong and seriously what did they do with that returned food?

That bread *chefs kiss* I could've made an entire meal out of that dip and been just as happy as a kid in the candy store lol. I ordered the fried seafood platter and swapped out the fries for a baked potato. Everything on the plate was delicious: the coleslaw, hush puppies, crab ball, oysters, fish, and shrimp. Both of my cousins ordered the surf and turf since they'd had it before and clearly loved it. After seeing them devour theirs, I know what I'm ordering next time. Overall, I had an amazing time. Our waitress, Sophie, was attentive and extremely personable.
