To be honest compared to Tams, Jim's, RC and Sky Burgers, this doesn't hit the spot. The cheeseburger is dry, the fries are not crispy and the drink is in a small cup instead of a regular for the price. She never smiles and has ignored me for a few minutes before acknowledging my existence every single time I have been there. She honestly makes you feel like you're bothering her. Frequent customer. Usual order is a chicken bowl with a side of veggies. Chicken is grilled pretty good and in eyes view. Love their teriyaki sauce. Pretty large, even sized portions. The veggies are really good and worth the extra $$. Steamed zucchini, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms are a perfect side for the chicken and rice. When I was at 7-Eleven the other morning a strong smell of charbroiled teriyaki chicken wafted through the parking lot. I looked over to my left and saw an old school Taco Bell building now converted into Golden Bowl #19. I made it back over there today to check out their offerings. After looking things over, I opted for the #6 combo, which is teriyaki chicken and fried shrimp with avocado (pic posted). The shrimp needed another minute in the fryer as parts of the batter were a bit mushy still. The chicken was decent. Typical thigh meat chopped up and smothered with their "home made" teriyaki sauce. I may or may not come back here... it's a toss up. With so many new places left to try, this place doesn't seem too enticing as a re-run. I posted a pic of their menu as well, and it looks like these places are peppered all over the area from the Valley, through the South Bay, East Side, and Long Beach, down to Orange County. Yippee. Good stuff. I had the chicken + beef plate, comes with salad and rice. About 10 bucks. The place is clean and the food came out pretty fast. Like the fact that theres plenty of sirracha and soy sauce out on the table and they have hot peppers as well. If you've read my reviews you might know that I try and stay clear of sugar water aka "soda"...I'm a water drinker and their water tastes really good. This is huge for me because many places have foul smelling and tasting water/ice. There's a lot of options to eat with in walking distance from here but I saw this place was busy, always a good sign. Terrible customer service !!! I was just there at 9:50pm the drive thru lady was the rudest Ever!! It's my birthday and it was so upsetting that I could not enjoy my food anymore. I'm assuming she was in a rush to just close and go home but her attitude was unnecessary . I had ordered a drink for my 6 year old, when she repeated my order she mentioned the drink as part of my order. Once at the pick up window she very rudely said I didn't order a drink and that they were already closed and couldn't add any drinks to my order!!! but there was still about 10 cars in line and she had not even charged me for my order yet! This is a rip off. Called to make a party tray order of half beef and chicken. The gal said about 45 to hour wait. Waited for an hour and headed out. When I got there I was told the gal who placed the order didn't take my number so they didn't make the order. Then I asked how long to make it. She said 20 minutes. Given I drove about 20 mins to get there I said fine make it. She rang me up and it was over $253 for a party tray. I told her that is ridiculous pricing. When I order from the Atlantic location it wasn't more than $60 (for all meat). Crazy rip off pricing! Don't go here! I think they didn't make because the price was a ripped off! Walked in on a Wednesday at 9:11pm (place closes at 10pm) with my family and the young woman in front counter told us to get our food and leave afterwards ("food is only to-go"). After ordering my own food, my brother stood in line for 10min while the young woman continued doing her side work. Very unprofessional overall with unwelcoming service skills. My go to is the beef teriyaki with avocado, delicious. The large bowl has plenty of food, enough for lunch and dinner or if you want to share with someone, the best part is that the price is decent for the amount of food you're getting. I've never been inside the facility therefore I cannot say much about their hygiene but their drive thru is pretty fast and the employee is friendly. read more

I used to come here years ago on my lunch break and I stopped because the food wasn't that great but after 4 years, I was in the area and craving teriyaki and decided to give them a try again!!! I was not disappointed this time! Wow, it is still a little pricey but I think it is worth it. They are not stingy with their potion size, let me tell you! They had me at AVOCADO! Medium chicken teriyaki bowl topped with fresh, creamy, ripe slices of avocado. They give you extra sauce and have giant bottles of Sriracha brand hot sauce. There's a drive thru, but their pick up/dine in service is quick, even for the lunch hour rush. Fountain soda options and some Ole brand flavored drinks (Horchata, Pina, etc). Food is ok. Simple teriyaki but SERVICE is really BAD. The foam container is too flimsy for the food. After I closed and opened it to put extra sauce.. it broke. I let the girl at the counter knows and ordered another new one. She gave me a look and said " that s why we put sauce on the side" I was like &$!? but just said " your container is too flimsy" You guys tried to save money by buying cheap containers which cannot hold the food. As much as I love Golden Bowl... I have to say that I very bothered that they serve a large chicken teriyaki plate... (want even just a bowl...) where the chicken had no teriyaki on it, but they give you a small side cup of teriyaki sauce and expect that to be enough. Of course they will happily sell you another cup for a quarter. Remember the days when restaurants actually wanted to make sure that food was served with enough sauce and that their customers are feeling valued. My meal cost me $19. I ordered the plate with 3 shrimp and a drink... get this... they do t even give you any sauce for the shrimp. Not sure why the owners here feel that this is good business. I am very bothered, and just on the principle of it, I may not recommend this place anymore. May also look for another place that will give me quality and a fair price. Sorry Golden Bowl... you are losing a 10 year faithful customer. I am giving 2 stars because in spite of bad policy... their employees treated me well and could only refer me to the sign telling me I had to pay more. Wish I could give it 0 stars, I went in to purchase a bowl about an hour before closing time. It was empty it was lonely. I went in with a friend, we ate. But as we were finishing up, they decided to mop and the employee goes on to tell us that they were closing and referring to us that we should leave. It was exactly 9:40, and it closed at 10pm. We walked in at 8:30 (they close at 9) we take about 15 minutes to eat, but our food isn't coming out. It's 8:58 and our food is ready. We sit at the table and start eating. Honestly this is by far the best teriyaki I have ever had. I first came here after months of my boyfriend raving how amazing this place was, he grew up in the area so he has ate here many times, then the day came we went and I promise you I wasn't disappointed at all. I didn't really care much about the location or how the place was in size, because I came here for one thing, the food The original teriyaki bowl lives up to its hype and we went there a few more times throughout the week before we went back home to Las Vegas.
