Of course she denied it and the manager told my husband, he probably just left it in his bag, but ohh Celine was nice enough to leave him an anchor Phone charger after she stole the Apple charger! He said he looked at security cameras and the only people in and out of his room was Celine the thief and my husband! Well, my husband just purchased the Apple puck charger and cube so there was no mistake on what brand it was and it was there when he left for the day! The manager was very unapologetic and didn't want to make it right with us and actually was kind of a jerk. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend staying here!

I returned about 10 minutes later and she was in her car leaving the lobby unattended over the 4th of July weekend. It was not staffed very often. The room was not clean. Luckily we bring our own slippers as the tile floor was so very sticky it was disgusting. We were only given 2 hangers. I had to borrow some from my sister from her home! However my adult children in 2 other rooms had 4! The mattress was very uncomfortable. I woke up with my bones aching. The only redeeming quality of this place was its proximity to my sister's home and we could walk there as parking was tight everywhere for the holiday weekend.

Nice appliances beyond what you might expect. The room has a Keurig coffee maker, a fridge and microwave, an iron and ironing board, even a blow dryer! Though it may appear from the outside to be your typical motel, it is anything but. Good air conditioning and clean fresh bedding were well appreciated. There's a bar and grill right next door with good food, willing to make up carry out orders if you prefer to eat in your room. Overall, I recommend Rumorz, it's a perfect vacation spot in a very charming lake community.

You also get a free homemade breakfast, and you can eat it outside on the large porch while watching the birds and cats. Examples of breakfast entrees served are a breakfast quiche, breakfast casserole, and french toast. The couple who owns the inn is friendly too, and they like to come over and chat while you're eating. Because of this, I added a star to the rating. Otherwise, I would not stay here. There is no internet access, free wi-fi, cell phone service, or even phone in the rooms. No amenities, such as shampoo, conditioner, razor, or soap, is provided. I think this is bad when you've been traveling on an airplane. You are provided access to a refrigerator (unlimited sodas and bottled water - though they ran out of water) and microwave. There really isn't housekeeping service. The trash cans are never emptied (really bad after you've been on a road trip), the bed is never made for you, sheets aren't changed during your stay, and towels are replaced every other day (it seems). The worst part of the stay though was the smell of hydrogen sulfide whenever you ran the water. Because of this, I won't stay here again. If someone takes a shower, the whole room smells like rotten eggs, and it's disgusting. The same applies to brushing your teeth. If you brushed your teeth and used the tap water instead of bottled water, you'd have this rancid taste in your mouth. Gross!

Sandy and I stayed here from 8/1/2018 through 8/11/2018 and loved every minute of it. Judy made a wonderful country breakfast every morning, and Dale pretty well stayed out of her way, while regaling us with History and stories of rural life gone by. It is a working farm, but the Mills take time to help us enjoy the hospitality. Also, ask Dale for a quick canoe trip, it absolutely makes the trip, and is is incredibly relaxing.
