My boyfriend bought a home elsewhere in CT just a few years back before relocating for a job, and his major complaint with his previous real estate lawyer was that she didn't review paperwork with him and basically just expected him to sign away. When he tried to read, the lawyer accused him of not trusting her! Crazy considering you don't normally meet your closing attorney until the closing. Two examples here where a former Partner was hired to perform family law. Essentially, he billed for work not performed. There is more that cannot be written here. If you look at the yelp reviews, his daughter is writing a review supporting the firm. That is not considered a proper review. You can't have your family member write a review on your own Law Firm. Second example, terrible performance on my Grandmother's Estate. She was probably charged enough to create a Trust, but it sounds like a complete shit show in probate. Again, lack of knowledge of a Partner of the firm.

This negatively affected the outcome of my case and left me with financial and legal consequences that could have been avoided. David Kritzman is unfortunately everything all those negative stereotypes of lawyers claim them to…read morebe and then some. The court gave us this guy as a special attorney (a public defender basically) after our original attorney fell ill. David was not well put together at the scheduled third meeting and I say 'third' meeting because he did not show up to the first or second meetings and did not even bother to call or text us to let us know he wouldn't be making it. He looked very unkempt and seemed to slur his speech but we didn't let that bother us at first because maybe that was how he talked: with a speech impediment. We just didn't know as this was our first conversation with him. Now we do know and he smelled like alcohol and perfume for each meeting thereafter. But when we brought it up to a person at the courthouse they brushed us off. When we paid too much money to him for an added expenditure he decided to try to pay us back with a rubber check, claiming his first divorce left him financially strapped. This clown is a mess and shouldn't be allowed to practice law. We've been in touch with the bar association as it seems the ethical thing to do for other people who need proper representation in front of such a complicated judicial system.
