The instricror/coach for the class, i believe her name is ms. Jessica, was so knowledgeable and friendly. I was out of my element but she was able to explain various techniques to me. She also provided the time for me to practice while demonstrating ways to improve the routine. While it was only my first class, i felt more confident that with consistent practice at the gym, i will get better at the foundational movements. Maria the instructor/ owner made me feel so welcome and comfortable the whole time. I honestly didn't know what to expect and was a bit nervous at first. There were some old and new students in the class, they were all really nice. During the class Maria explained everything as she went along, we did have a few water breaks in between. I really learned quite abit for my first time, education is very important when embarking on a new fitness journey. The class I took was the Bellydance Movement. I actually left feeling energized and refreshed from a 1hr class! I will be purchasing a class pass, you save a little more with this option. Im so glad I tried it, and Yes I will be taking classes at least once a week! She also teaches Bellydance at the University Of South Carolina. And this was the same for a decent amount of my friends that also went here. The girls were ruthless and the teachers did nothing about it (I'm not gonna name names but my teacher that I had for both classes had favorites and would witness their behavior but would do nothing about it). So, this school is a wonderful school, but you need to be tough and have thick skin to handle it. I also don't like the lack of information this school has on their websites. I wanna rejoin, because I did enjoy dancing and I'm more mature now that I'm in high school, mature enough to handle it at least, but I cannot find what kind of dance classes they have or what time the practices will be and when. I already do marching band (and that comes first) from Augustish to October ish, then I have the Christmas parade in December and I need to know when the practices for dance will be held so I can know if I can even do this
