Although a chain, because it's Spain, your experience can differ from restaurant to restaurant in not just quality but options as well. The burgers, wraps, and fries at this location are awesome! They have a daily menu that gets you a burger with fries and a drink around 14€. The staff is friendly and helpful and speak English if you need it. The atmosphere is dimly lit and warm in essence. After three weeks in Europe (and lots of our own cooking,) we were jonesing for a premium burger. Lots of local and chain options where we're staying in the Salamanca neighborhood, but the gorgeous posters we'd seen for Goiko sucked us in. Neither of us speak much Spanish, but we can greet and order food and always try to be polite and friendly. No chance here, as we got an immediate eye-roll and a pantomime point to a QR code for the English menu from our cold and rushed server, Anton. We took a while to enjoy the well-written menu, but we're hustled to order several times. When we were ready, our fairly clear (don't think I butchered " BB Queen Smash y cerveza Alhambra Reserva" too much,) prefer was met with more eyerolls, and we had to resort to finger-pointing the menu. Were not asked how we wanted our burgers cooked, but maybe that's just the way here. The food, as expected, was less appealing than the photos - not disagreeable, though. Tasty, to a degree, but crazy salty and Shoe-leather dry. All of that would be forgivable, but there are no excuses for the rudeness and unwelcoming service. 35 Euro for two burger, two beers and a water that showed up as a premium glass-bottle example with (apparently) no option for tap. Well finally took the time to try out the famous hamburgues in Goiko grill. This franchise is all over Spain, and now I was gonna taste a burguer from them with friends and family. We didn't made a reservation, even do we were not greeted at the door , and we choose to seat ourselves... finally a lady waitress came and said, "that area is not open yet, please seat in this table".. so ok we move... a few minutes later my cousin wanted to change tables in the new section to be close to a plug on the wall in other to use it and charge her phone, unfortunately the lady waitress said NO because area was close.. (please understand that we are tourist , and we ran out of battery quickly jaja).. ok moving on.. good thing menus are already at the table, so we starting browsing through menu options.. after deciding what to order.. nobody came to take our order , also talk about menu options or perhaps specials of the day.. I call a male waiter to please take our order and he was helpful and right to the point. 10 min later food was on the table; Awesome !!! I can honestly say it is a great burguer very tasty and makes you think about "when can I come back to eat it again" .. so great food, very nice clean place to eat, talk & drink. Unique burgers for all types of tastes. A friend is in love with the Kevin bacon burger - and you can even customize to make it a double patty. I tried the Camburger, which had a rum based sauce and bananas, but overall the burger wasn't good - I wouldn't get again. I love Goiko the service is great. The decoration is beautiful and all the burgers are great. My favorite to start is the Tequeños and the Yankie Burger with guacamole extra. Unexpectedly nice little place in the quiet neighborhood of Salamanca. Kudos to the Goiko team for the many nice details of the bread, ingredients, chunky-cut fries, and enjoyable-to-puruse menu. I am really impressed for the vegetarian patty offering as a substitute on all burgers, especially considering it's Madrid AND that they make them in house. They still haven't got the texture and seasoning on the veggie patties quite figured out well enough, so when ordered as a guacamole burger it was a bit of a shmushy mess. Plus they need better beer on tap to go with such good pub grub--a problem throughout the city. Will definitely give them another try being right near IE's campus. read more

Excellent service from beginning to end in a clean business with lively atmosphere. How's the food? Ridiculously delicious!! The quality of ingredients and pride with which your meal is cooked is evident in every flavorful bite. Absolutely divine! Honestly this place has top of the top burgers. My favourite has got to be the mexican burger. However, one thing people don't necessarily know about but it is to DIE for is the goiko frozen/frozen goiko. It's a chocolate and oreo mousse that melts in your mouth. Beware tho, it's super sweet and can easily be shared however... i don't think you would want to All in all, great place, great burgers, great prices. Probably the best hamburger I've had in Madrid. Staff are nice and speak English, good selection of beer and a few good cocktails. Burgers are great and onion rings are good too.
