We had a burned out system of recessed lights and old-style transformers in my daughter's bathroom, and another electrician had quoted thousands. Quantum answered their phone immediately, set an appointment for the next day, and spent a good amount of time assessing the problem. Indeed, fixing the existing system would have been pricey and difficult, as the parts were well-outdated, and would take some hunting or cobbling together of old and new. But rather than try to convince us to do that, they suggested removing the old system entirely and replacing it with a more modern one. While that might have seemed the bigger job, it was actually the simplest thing to do -- and the least expensive. Instead of thousands, the whole job cost $450. The owner, Andrei, is friendly, accommodating, honest and knowledgeable. The other members of his team, whether in the office or on site working with him, were equally friendly, skilled, and easy to deal with. Communication was clear, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and the work is great. They will be my first call from now on, and I cannot recommend them enough. We bought an extended warranty and Generac assigned our warranty to Elite Generators. We've been working with Elite for months now on two warranty issues. Their customer service is just awful. We have found it very difficult to communicate and schedule work. The team that answers the phone will often say "we're super swamped over here, but let me check and I'll call you right back, OK?" And then they don't call back for days. We then have to follow up, and then it's the same thing all over again. Most recently, we paid a large service fee for Elite to come make a warranty repair (a sensor issue that caused the generator to not start up when the power goes out). I took week of following up and a hassle of phone calls to get the part ordered, and then again to get the work scheduled. And the repair didn't work, so I called them a week ago to let them know that the replaced sensor did not solve the issue. Again, they said "we are super busy with other jobs, we wish that you would would hire us for (expensive) regular service, but we'll see about scheduling this repair and will get back to you." It has been been a week and I hadn't hearf from them, so I called again today. What do you think they said? "we're super busy, will call you back." Sure. We have elderly people in our home, young kids, and rely on that generator for life safety issues. I recommend finding someone else for you generac generator warranty issues.
