This restaurant is actually pretty cool, they sell wine and shoes below, such a fab combination…read moreright? They should host more events with such a concept, because women love shoes and wine makes all that torture we put our feet through more bearable, right?
Now for the food upstairs, it has excellent pasta and seafood, at least when my friends took me there for my Birthday I had a great dinner! I ordered a seared scallop appetizer and a prawn pasta in a creamy sauce, with a full bodied red and a creme brûlée for dessert, as bread and pasta hits the stomach heavy!
In a group it is a very cosy atmosphere for conversation inside, but on a romantic date the candles glowing everywhere is also intimate and sweet. I prefer sitting inside so I can get that view of the Schanze, otherwise you sit at tables on the street level that are tucked away a bit next to the Post Bank parking lot. Not the worst alternative, but just a personal preference and what atmosphere you are in the mood for at the time.
I should really go back again, i enjoyed it so much from memory but normally when I am in the Schanze, I often pass by to eat at a more lively location along Schulterblatt or Susannenstrasse on warmer days...
