READ THIS BEFORE TAKING YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE…read more I am not one to leave feedback regardless of whether I receive good or bad service. However others need to be warned! For context - I am a recent new owner of a 2023 plate Audi RSQ8 and I absolutely love the car. To begin, the employed staff are very friendly and helpful, it is a shame the owner doesn't follow their footsteps, when questioned on the quality of the work and service received. After reaching out to ACE Car care to resolve what was initially a very simple stone chip on my bonnet. The job was completed and whilst the stone chip had disappeared my bonnet was a different colour to the rest of my vehicle. With 18+ years of experience I wouldn't expect a colour match to be difficult? They took the job on and didn't raise any concerns upon taking the job. I reached out to ACE again to raise my issues with the initial job and returned to get it resolved. Upon sense checking the car together with owner I was advised the whole car is ever so slightly different in colour, panel by panel, This was his way of trying to justify the poor work that had been completed. Following the discussions on resolutions to fix my issue, we agreed the car would return to ACE for them to have the chance to resolve the issue they had created. They advised they would colour match the rest of the car and blend the bonnet and front wings into the rest of the car and this would correct this issue for me. Upon collection of my vehicle (second time) I noticed a few imperfections but I wanted to get the car back, see it in different lighting and get a few other opinions from people in the trade etc. as I do not claim to be a paintwork specialist at all. I drove away, booked the car in for a valet with my car cleaner. Once cleaned it vas very obvious that the job had been completed at a very low standard once again. The finish of the paint work was not smooth, showing an orange peel consistency and speckles throughout. A business that claims to have over 18 years' experience should have no issue in handing a car back with 100% satisfactory paintwork with a smooth finish and not only was the job unsatisfactory the business shouldn't have signed the work off internally and shows poor workmanship and poor integrity as a business. A lot of customers will walk away and either accept the job without really checking or not have the courage to question it. Once inspected further I felt I had opened a tin of worms with the issues they have created. Overspray on the door, dust particles under the paint, carbon fibre kit and honeycomb grill not properly covered up when preparing the job leaving a rough finish, small areas of the job clearly not touched (around the headlight area). Following the initial job and the known issues on the colour match, after collecting my vehicle the second time we established the colour match still isn't correct. By this point, ACE had my car the first time, terrible job. Second time to resolve the issues and correct it... made it worse than before. I reached out to ACE once again to notify them of the issues I am having following the two jobs they have completed for me. I spoke with a member of the team called Phil who was friendly and helpful and understood the issues. However, once I spoke to the owner he was unprofessional and unhelpful. The owner came out with excuse after excuse rather than admitting the work simply wasn't acceptable. With the initial job, I did have a guarantee of two years on the work and they advised they could put it right for me but ACE have had two opportunities to do the job and I will not be letting them have a third attempt. Be very mindful when taking your car to ACE, if like me you love your car and take pride in it, maybe find another paintwork shop as opposed to taking it to JOHN WAYNE.
