I was hoping to find a place where I could safely enjoy a date night and eat out for the first time…read morein nearly 14 years. While I appreciate having a local health food store in Longview, I was disappointed to find that the kitchen and premade food section doesn't fully align with a clean-eating standard. Because many meals are pre-assembled, it isn't possible to remove common allergens like corn or cheese. Looking closely at the ingredients, items include mayonnaise with high fructose corn syrup, sweet potato fries cooked in soybean oil, and Hormel meats with added hormones. Longview has a strong demand for truly non-inflammatory and allergen-friendly options. Simple kitchen updates would transform this into a go-to spot for people with strict dietary needs: Offering customizable, build-your-own options (so ingredients like corn or dairy can be left off) Swapping to clean base ingredients, like avocado oil for cooking and corn-syrup-free mayo (like Primal Kitchen) Introducing organic ingredients, hormone-free meats, and grain-free menu items There are so many people in our community with sensitivities who would love to be loyal, regular customers if safer, cleaner options were available!

The restaurant/smoothie side's menu and staff were disappointingly inadequate. I tried to order…read moresomething that would accommodate my food allergies, by substituting one fruit for another, and nondairy milk for frozen yogurt, in a drink. First the guy had to check if it was alright. To substitute things. Which, um, why doesn't he already know? Then, he overcharged me, and when I said something, Valerie came to 'help', overcharging me even more, such that what should've been a $6.99 drink was NOW going to be $11, despite my not including 4-5 of the ingredients in it! If you are at all concerned with the integrity of ingredients, want to know exactly what you're drinking, or would prefer a place that works with you so you can actually have something that won't send you on a flare, DO NOT come here. If you're traveling through and need something healthy, for the love of god, pass by this place and go to either The Granary or to Natural Grocers, both just a few minutes down the road. The store side was unfortunately unimpressive as well - they just didn't have the selection or stock of say, The Granary or Natural Grocers, and it was really expensive. Also the staff over there reeked of bad perfume, and didn't know where stuff was. This may be a healthy place for lunch if you've just started trying to be healthy and are comparing it to say, fried chicken and fries. But bread, wheat, dairy frozen yogurt, orange juice, pineapple juice - these are not healthy things.

What an amazing find when I found the Granary. The employees and owners are very friendly and…read moreknowledgeable. The store is packed with every nutritional supplements, regional eggs, (meats that are fairly locally sourced, butchered and frozen... their chickens are delicious). There's just so much good stuff in this place. Go, peruse the shelves, pick the brains of the employees and just do something healthy for you and your family. 5 stars

Granary has such a vast array of healthy snack foods, ingredients, pills, naturally sourced foods and frozen meals. It serves a wide audience with many GF and vegan options. As a bodybuilder, it has many of the supplements that are hard to find in most stores. The only issue with health stores like Natural Grocers or Jack's is that they mark up all their prices and usually Amazon is cheaper 99% of the time. Not here. Many items are cheaper than what you can find online and you get to support a local business at the same time. I'm already carving room in my pantry for the next haul I come back with. Definitely worth checking out!

I came in today and bought 2 cases of lean shakes which online and corporate locations it's bogo 1/2 off (I called a few places to find out). I was rang up as full price for both. Here's the reason why I gave 2 stars. I asked about the bogo 1/2 off and was told that it was done away with a long time ago. I informed him that I got that deal last week in Tyler. He then looked at my previous purchase on his computer and matched it. It maybe true for the privately owned GNC that it was done away with but I look at it that I was lied to even if it's a half truth, it's still a lie. I won't return there. He didn't offer to me any reason why he told me what he did. Unsure if this was the owner, manager or clerk, but be aware that they don't have to follow the same corporate rules.

A bag of mass gainer used to be $53 and they would always give me a 20% discount which brought it down to roughly $43. Now it is $74.99 with absolutely no discounts. They won't even honor the website's prices or accept online orders because they aren't a "corporate store". It's a shame I have to spend my money online with free shipping through GNC corporate and not support the local business. Reed is the new manager and his attitude was finally the last straw to not make me go back.

I began working with Dr. Lewis as I transitioned off my anti-depressants and I believe it has been his supplementation and guidance that has made the process so manageable. Not only this, but Dr. Lewis helps uncover the weaknesses in your health and works 1-on-1 with you to build strength back within those areas. Dr. Lewis' mission to make full blood panels accessible and understandable (!) is simply invaluable. As we enter into a time where we have the opportunity to take our health into our own hands, Dr. Lewis could not be more helpful. Dr. Lewis has helped me to see the value and necessity of supplementation and when it comes to someone to help guide and walk you through the process, he is as good as they come! To make matters better, I just recently made another order to re-up on some of my supplements and my package came with a personalized note from Dr. Lewis to "keep up the good work" and a smiley-face sticker on the cap of one of the supplements I had ordered. That type of personal-touch is rare and stands as further reasoning behind my 5-star rave review. Go with Dr. Stephen and Janet Lewis and Doctor's Nutrition - you won't be disappointed. K
