So ever since I got down to Bragg I have been shopping at Vitamin Shoppe. A little over a month ago…read moreI picked up some preworkout on a buy one get one half off sale that they normally run. As we know, preworkout generally is a 30 day supply.. so I went to open up my second container this morning to find the vacuum seal inefficient resulting in the whole product clumping up like a rock. No big deal, I'll just take it back and exchange I thought. When I get to the store tonight I show it to the cashier and he said no problem, let me get my manager to help you. When the manager came out he didn't even make eye contact with me, instead he asked for my phone number just so he could go into the system to find day I purchased it so that he could tell me it was outside of their 30 day window and there wasn't anything he could do. No apologies for the faulty product or anything, mind you I've spent hundreds of dollars here over the course of a few months. Horrible customer service and an even worse exchange policy. It's cheaper to get the product straight from the website anyway, so that is what I will be doing from now on. Shameful

I don't recommend shopping here as a person of color & especially as a woman . I've encountered…read moreunsafe harassment and profiling today by an individual claiming to be a "manager" that left me feeling absolutely ill . I wish I'd seen the google reviews warning about it. It's especially disturbing considering how long I've shopped here only because I had encountered nothing but politeness and respect from the owner Brenda at the older store. I insisted on speaking to her and I was denied the opportunity. Instead another POC employee loudly humiliated me and supported the supervisor's public harassment. They literally gang up on long established customers now over "samples". This needs to be made right . As Fayetteville residents we deserve to feel safe in our grocery stores, not cornered, bullied & humiliated following people to the parking lot .

I've been coming to Steere's since my final year of Army service at Fort Bragg, which was 2001…read more I've only dealt with Noah (the owner), and he is hard to miss with his imposing size of being 6 foot 5, 300+ pounds of muscle. He is a former bodybuilder as well as ex-82nd Airborne, and I have trusted his judgment on supplements and proteins for 14 years now. Steere's is located catecorner to the plaza that also has General Jackson's. For those departing Fort Bragg's gate, that means that Noah's store is on the left side of Yadkin Road. If you pass General Jackson's, you missed it. Steere's Nutrition is a small storefront, yet packs quite a bit of product. On my last visit to Steere's, Noah told me that he doesn't ship via online anymore, and primarily deals with in-store purchases. His markup is very reasonable, which is why I prefer to buy from him as opposed to a GNC or herbal store close to Cross Creek Mall. And plus, he's a straight shooter on all nutrition products. I highly recommend this store. If in Fayetteville, its well worth the 10 minutes to travel down Yadkin as well as talking to one of the most knowledgeable and highly respected nutritionists in the business.
