The Vitamin Shoppe - Lifelong Wellness Starts Here

The Vitamin Shoppe

I just want to start out by saying that this place has been in the area for awhile but hasn't had…read moretheir business on yelp until now. I've been dying to give my review on this place because I come here often. The customer service here is phenomenal!!!!!!!! And I truly mean it. The employees are so willing to help everyone find what they need and are knowledgeable about their supplements! I come here for specific supplements and they aren't like every vitamin shops trying to persuade me or manipulate me to think I need more supplements in my life. They ask me if I need help and tell me everything I ask for. And of course they inform me as soon as I walk in what the deals are! I can't say this enough.. I love love love this place! The employees are so upbeat and positive and always have a smile on their faces, which is very relieving, to finally go to a place where the employees don't look like they hate their jobs. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to get supplements with some amazing deals!

I've been eating healthier and so I had been searching for a nearby spot that could cater to my new dietary needs. Enter Parma Nutrition. It's a small little spot in a pretty quiet strip mall on pearl, honestly I must have passed it four times before realizing it was there. The inside is white and clean, minimal seating which was kind of a bummer because I had to take my shake to go but I won't ding them. The girl, I didn't her her name (I'm sorry!!) was super helpful, explained the process and the nutrient components of each thing. You do a tea and a shake combo, or you can split it with someone. I got a cake batter shake and it was absolute heaven. Made with Herbalife which I'm very familiar with and I know that Macro wise it fits right into my allowances daily. Really my only faux pa was the seating and that I feel like the menu should be big and clear to see, instead they have a little laminated sheet with their inventory and not for nothing it was a little annoying. The music was on point and the atmosphere was perfect. All in all I really think they have potential to do some awesome things, maybe think about adding some small wraps or salads. Having the macros would also be helpful because I feel like most clients who are going there are health conscious and possibly counting calories or carbs.

If you are looking for a Traditional Chinese or Asian Medicine alternative, give this place a try…read more They have an extensive selection of herbs with which they can make up medicinal teas, The Lady who works the counter is very pleasant, attentive, and proficient in her work. Doctor Lee does the consultation, and then provides her with the list of herbs and/or pills to provide you. The store has a pretty good selection of teas, ginseng products, and Asian medicines, including liniments and products for pain. My Wife has been to see Doctor Lee twice now. Once for Fibromyalgia and Arthritis pain, and once for insomnia. We are becoming leary of Western medicine, especially after noticing we both were experiencing some memory issues. When you start reading the information for every prescription medication you start to realize you may be harming yourself, and others are becoming wealthier at the cost of your wellness. Insurance Companies, including Medicaid and Medicare, need to add coverage for Traditional Chinese or Asian Medicine to their pharmaceutical coverage. In most cases it is less expensive than Western medicines, and less (or not) harmful to the patient. Big Pharma has too much influence in our Government, and the healthcare industry, so unfortunately it is not likely to happen. Anyway, if your meds are causing you concern or health issues do some research. Traditional Chinese or Asian medicine have been around for thousands of years.

I expected the food here to be quite expensive since it's convenient and inside the corporate building, but I found the prices to be quite fair and affordable. On both occasions, my meal was less than $8 after taxes. The portions were large enough to keep me full enough to not even need a large dinner after work. The food is made fresh depending on what you get. Sandwiches and wraps are made to-order, and the chips, and fries are generally fresh and don't stay out long because of the lunch rush. I haven't tried the pizza and other cooked foods yet, but I have heard great things about them too. They have rotating deals of the days that are worth a try. Lots of variety so that you don't feel like you're eating the same food every day. Depending on what time you come, you may encounter long line-ups to pay. The service from the food counters move quickly, but it's the payment line that is long. They only have two people to help check you out, and if one of the machines are broken, then you're waiting in line for the one counter to get everyone through. This is the biggest bottleneck of the whole café/restaurant. There are some tables and booths available for you to sit and eat, but most people take food back to their office. Cash, credit, and debit are all accepted forms of payment.
