Awesome deal! 3 for $10 (normally $4 each)

New to this store! Just glad it exists :) Was a little quiet when I walked in but during COVID, that was expected. The woman working REALLY knows her Magic the Gathering stuff. I haven't played in a while and she explained everything I needed answers to. Can't wait to come back and get more stuff!

Great selection of Warhammer and wargaming products and this weekends GT was well organized and an overall great experience. The staff was friendly and the store is well kept. I definitely look forward to some Warhammer events in the future!

Catan, never knew there were so many expansions.

Sadly lacking in the IE are old-school hobby shops (not talking about that lame company Hobby Lobby) where boardgames and fantasy role playing games (RPG), Magic the Gathering (MtG) and related materials can be found, purchased, or in the case of GMI Gaming, played on premises. You won't find model trains or remote controlled cars and planes here, but if maneuvering miniatures or competing against like-minded avids (sometimes we are referred to as geeks), then your only option outside of Pasadena, Rancho Cucamonga and greater LA is here in the Jurupa Valley. I found this store after a Yelp search. The closest shops with the sorts of things I like, including paints, modeling tools, games, especially but not limited to Dungeons and Dragons (D&D), I'd have to go to Pegasus Hobbies in Upland/Montclair or Game Empire in Pasadena. While those shops dwarf this one in scale and stock, the therum of no choice does not mean second best, not by a long shot! Depending on the time of day, this place is either quiet or boisterous with activity. My first visit and a few of the subsequent ones fell into the former category. What I see here is the ability to special order things not currently in stock or visit semi-regularly to buy unpainted miniatures in my case, or pick up regularly on hand expansion modules for various games including T.I.M.E. Stories and Catan. While small, the paints needed to get your figures, scenery and vehicles just right can be acquired in the back. They also have airbrush specific paints by Vallejo, a Spanish company. Interestingly, the owner herself has no real interest in gaming but I think it's awesome that she continues with a business that has seen many ebbs and tides over the years. Perhaps it is the resurgence of boardgames at cafés or maybe the centerpiece of Stranger Things's plotlines revolving around D&D, and especially the ultimate evil horrors known as the Demogorgon, or the extraplaner Mind Flayer? Yeah, the 5th edition of the Monster Manual is here to look up those references if necessary. Need instructions to play a particular game? The older vets are happy to assist, motivation is primarily to bring more people into this stress-relieving hobby. Support the local shops first.

The "Armory" themed room, great for immersion on your adventures!

I was here for an event introducing new players to Dungeons and Dragons. Enjoyed the event, nice and friendly atmosphere! I went into this with pretty much zero knowledge of D&D, and I came out of it wanting to play more and get immersed in the worlds we adventure into! Definitely would recommend it!

Staff was really helpful and friendly with helping me out which paint to grab for the figures I was grabbing, I would definitely come back for more!

Plenty of gaming space, friendly and helpful staff, and a large community. Overall, a pretty good place to game.

Gamer's Haven is a relaxing place to play role playing games and such away from home with like minded people. Most of the gamers connect through the website meetup which shows the date and times gaming groups play. They regularly look for new players. The establishment has an extensive collection of roleplaying books for a variety of games. Think of it as a library of sorts only devoted to roleplaying. The owner/manager(s) (Dave) are thoughtful and considerate men who appear to run their business 1st to provide an atmosphere where grownups can enjoy each others company like a book or chess club only role playing games. Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Warhammer 40k, Rifts and card games like Exploding Unicorns and such. They have three private rooms for private gaming. The place is mature. You can bring your own beer as no one there is under 21 and everyone is polite. They have a membership program ($35 a month) but you can pay by the day ($5 a day). First day of play is free as a trail to see if you like it. They take cash, venmo, etc. They also have some paints and figurines if your into personalizing your character piece. Gaming materials (dice and such) for sale and can order. They even have a 3d print you can use by the hour (they charge by the hour). I like their snack section that comes with a number of candy bars, nuts, ramon, ice cream bars and drinks. They have a microwave, frig, and sink.the place is made up of 3 sections. The back appears to be dedicated to Warhammer 40k. They have free wi-fi at Gamer's Haven too. Overall I think the place is a must see once in your life as an alternative to the library. Your not in an awkward position of having people over late at night if you have kids and such. However, unlike the library their hours are open past 8 pm. I think members can stay after management leaves with membership access. They have security cc cameras inside and the doors lock after you leave. Atmosphere: 6 star. Clean. Fair temperature. Wifi Service: 5 star. Quality: 5 star. They have a gaming table with a monitor. A collection of gaming books. Value: not sure of the going rate in the industry. Still if one lives close enough and has they friend to play with its better than online gaming or watching TV

This place is amazing l, staff were beyond friendly and inviting, wish they were in San Diego…read more Nice small retail store and large gaming area and rooms. I would highly recommend if you live in the area. Thank you!
