Located in a small boutique, you may not think luxury. I've had many facials at many locations, and nothing rivals how relaxed I feel here. It had been several months between my appointments, and yet Emily remembered what we had spoken about at out last appointment. Sometimes the best things are found in small packages. Emily is that. A tiny package of relaxation, skin care and just a genuine kindness. I'd give her more stars if I could. (She offers many more services too)

I booked an initial consultation, was impressed with her, and booked my first treatment. Wow! Since that first experience well over a year ago, i am now a regular on her schedule ... every two weeks. But the story doesn't end there. After my first treatment, I booked a treatment for my husband. He went, albeit kicking and screaming. And now? He gets a microdermabrasion facial every week. It's his one luxury in life... a post-retirement "bene". What else can I say? Jenn is phenomenal.

Amber was the absolute sweetest and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. She's a hardworking mom of 2 little kids, and beyond being incredibly open and kind, what impressed me most was how genuinely passionate she is about what she does. You can immediately tell when someone truly enjoys their work. She even told me how much she loves working at Salon Pure Lux and that the only way she'd ever leave is if she retires from doing hair. That says so much about the atmosphere and culture of the salon! I also loved the products they use, especially Oribe ~ the scent is absolutely amazing. The pricing was very reasonable, especially compared with what I'm used to paying in Tampa. Such a good experience all around. If I lived in Knoxville, I would probably make this my regular salon. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

I have been a loyal Pure Lux customer for years and have generally been very happy with the…read moreservices I've received, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I recently had a haircut and, after living with it for about a week, realized I would like a small adjustment. I simply wanted someone to run thinning shears through the bottom of my hair--a quick touch-up that would likely take only a couple of minutes. When I called, Kelly answered the phone and was dismissive, telling me no one had time to help. When I called back to ask for a manager's name, her attitude changed and she suddenly seemed more willing to help, but it did not feel genuine. I was repeatedly told that everyone was booked, despite my request being very minor. What disappointed me most was the lack of customer service and willingness to accommodate a long-time client. I wasn't asking for a new appointment or a lengthy correction--just a quick adjustment following a recent haircut. I would have expected a salon of this caliber, especially with directors such as Amy on staff, to make more of an effort to ensure customer satisfaction. I have always enjoyed Pure Lux and hope this feedback is taken constructively, but this experience left me feeling undervalued as a loyal customer testing out the salon.
