Turtle cheesecake

I hate taking off a points as the visit overall was close to a 5. food wise everything as expected... server wise was a 5 star experience. So a visit that overall is 4 stars... So why three???? Seating!!!! We got there super early right at opening... we got seated in my hubbies fav corner booth location. We ordered and just before the food arrived the hostess sat a large party at the large booth RIGHT next to us... we thought... this is weird as their are two large booths than the 4 top north's up the side wall.... Why in this world they wouldn't have sat that table at the first large booth leaving a space is beyond me!!!! Now if they had been busy and this was the only spot I'd have had no issue since technically places are fully opened.... However as older adults eith issues we don't want to be this close to kids who nay if nay nit be vaccinated So hubby went up to the hostess that we needed to move .... And then the food came out snd our server was gracious enough to help in the move But I'm still shaking my head going WTF??? Seriously they need to space folks out even if not mandated.

New summer seasonal menu and the BBQ chicken special (all that for $12.99).

Always the go-to. Foods decent. Good price point and service. Miss the small TVs, but glad they're renovating it in parts

Shrimp Plater

Ordered the Shrimp Platter to go tonight and received these nasty, over-breaded small shrimp instead. I've ordered the Shrimp Platter on several occasions and normally the shrimp are much larger, butterflied and lightly breaded, and taste good. Not this time.

Glory Burger
Gellie E.

The Glory Burger is everything I want in a burger: BBQ sauce, fried onion straws, bacon, cheddar cheese, and a fried egg; served with a side (fries, of course) and a pickle spear... yet, it was still missing something. I ordered my burger medium but it came out gray aka well done. Maybe it was missing some "rawness." The burger was good, but not "award-winning" as it's made out to be. What I found the most disappointing was the lack of service. When we were seated, none of us were given menus. We all sat there looking around confused, wondering what the deal was. Eventually we gave up and commandeered some menus from other tables. The menus are sticky-nasty. Our food was out at a reasonable time, but our waitress never came to check on us after and she did not refill drinks. While the food at Glory Days Grill is fine (nothing special), and it does have a good sports vibe going - you're surrounded by tv's and there are volume boxes on each table so that you can listen in - nothing calls me to return.

Hot wings!

Returned today and was blown away by the food and service. Daniel (Dan) is a fabulous server and took great care of me. Wings were awesome as was the salmon BLT salad.

This was my second visit to this location…read more As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by staff members. They let me check out the place before being seated. The bar area is self-seating.I chose to sit in the bar area...the only remaining big table with high chairs/table...it was packed! The happy hour is pretty awesome here. They have daily happy hour from 4-6 pm, which is pretty awesome, starting early and ending late. There is also a power hour from 3-6, where everything on the happy hour menu is $5, which is a little early!! The menu includes regular bar food and a variety of drinks (as shown in the picture). We ordered the following: -Let that "man"go - in general it's an iced drink, so I'd avoid. -Spicy pina marg - another iced drink. It was ok. -I'm Ron Burgundy (2x)- this had a nice strong coffee flavor, doesn't come with ice; I would highly recommend it...they made it so good!!! -Maker's mini nachos - There proportion of chips to toppings was off there wasn't enough toppings and too many chips, but there was a lot of cheese. -Calamari was a good portion, and tasty -Chicken tenders - they were delicious and moist There are so many items to choose from on the power hour/happy hour menu. I would definitely recommend lil B and the wings. There was live music, which was just way too loud for such a small space. We would have been okay with all the music. There is plenty of parking available in nearby garages, I believe free after 5pm. There is also timed/paid parallel parking. Would I return? definitely!

They were HUGE and generously topped with lots of goodies! We planned on ordering entrees after but were too full for anything else! All wooden tables with a combination of high tops and regular 4-person tables, plus a few luxurious looking booths on one side. Bar towards the back with multiple TV with sports channels playing. There is a whiskey tasting room, a game room, and another standing room only bar. We were just there on a Friday night and there was a solo live performance. Not too loud as the place is large enough to absorb the sound, and I was still able to carry a conversation. Great vibes! Food (4 ) Regular bar menu items. Good selection of local beers. Everything is delicious, portion on the small side - We had the Jambalaya and Steak Frites; an old fashioned and a couple beers. Service (4 ) The place was very busy, we don't see our waitstaff often but he's friendly, took our orders and everything came fine. We did ask for the water.

The young seater proceeds to seat us in a section with 9 empty tables, completely removed from the rest of the restaurant. Weird choice on her part. Husband can see the rest of restaurant/tvs in his view. I can see a wall column and windows. ‍ Server was super laid back. Ordered the Open Table burger with fries and the French onion burger with sweet potato fries as well as a take out order. Server opted to put the take out order in once our food came. Burgers came out quickly. They were cooked just as requested. Food was ok.. nothing special Server kind of disappeared so drink refills were hard to come by. I think because we were so far away from all of his other tables it made it difficult for him to get back to us. Manager (?) came by and offered to refill drinks and bring a box. Take out order came out right on time. No dessert was offered or suggested. Would we come back? Probably not but we gave it a try.

The one blip was when we first entered, the young-ish man at the host desk looked at us with a "What are you doing here?" grimace. I was stunned since the hosts are usually very happy to see patrons come in. Beyond that, though, we had a lovely time. Our server was quite friendly and got hubs customized Cuban order just right. I had the killer tomato basil soup and tasty grilled cheese. I also got an order to go of the Buffalo Chicken wrap. It was yummy the next day for lunch. We hadn't been to NYAJ's in years. It had somehow fallen off our dining radar. We'll be back more often after our recent terrific dinner.

I meet some old friends at this restaurant fairly often and we are always well taken care of. We often have Caesar as our waiter and he has been there a long time, and always does a great job. He is polite, friendly, professional and attentive. The food is good. I don't know if I would say there is anything fantastic about it, but I have never had a bad meal there. I've had the chicken parm, the Cuban sandwich, burgers, and salads and everything had been tasty and freshly prepared. I love a good Cuban sandwich and NYAJ's is a good one, and they are one of the few restaurants with a Waldorf salad on the menu, so I have ordered that several times. My only critique of that would be, I wish it had the candied pecans that are listed as an ingredient on the menu, but the last 3 times I have had that salad, they have been missing. I also love the French onion soup there, as well as many of the appetizers. You really do not have to worry about getting a bad meal at Not Your Average Joe's, it's very reliable.
