John Paul Jones (founder of the American Navy) himself was a local lad and sailed from here. Prisoners were also sent to Australia from this port. Both were very good , served with some garlic bread and salad on the side. There is a cocktail bar situated at the entrance which has a good selection of beer on draught and wines .
