The North Market has been an existence in Columbus for years. When I first began coming here, it…read morewas located near the present site in a Quanset hut type building, but the concept was the same as most farmers market style experiences. Vendors located in stalls within the building. The same concept has been expanded upon and grown into a huge, well lighted, and diverse shopping experience. Food vendors, and other shops, dedicated to home and lifestyle experiences abound in this large, friendly environment. Fresh produce can often be found here. Satellite operations now actually exist in several leather parts of the city, but the concept is the same. On site flat lot parking is available as well as street parking, and parking in a number of garages nearby. This is a great place to come for lunch or dinner, perhaps before an event at one of the several venues in the Arena District entertainment area.

I love coming to North Market for a food adventure!…read more The construction has made a mess of parking and walkways in general. We happened to walk over from a few blocks away, but there was snow and ice on every sidewalk - it sucked to get there tbh. Can't do anything about the massive building being build practically on top of this historic building, but that's Columbus for you. So if you don't mind walking a bit in potentially garbage weather with untended sidewalks, it's super fun to visit. Jeni's is always a treat for dessert, but so is Buckeye Donuts. The Crepes menu sounds amazing, too. We tried Satori ramen bar and it was hot and flavorful! The bakery next to Satori on the corner has amazing baked goods, too.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. They even have food trucks, drink stands and today they had entertainment. Some stands are a second store front for a bigger businesses and some are folks that run a smaller business in markets like this. It's all good. There's quite the variety. We had fantastic weather on our only chance to experience this treasure. As you might expect, we drank too much, ate too much and spent far too much on the local crafts. You only live once. Parking sucked. We had to walk a couple blocks. It was a decent area making for a nice stroll. Everyone involved showed us so much heartfelt hospitality and good will. We talked to so many locals and learned so much about the area and the town's history, it was a total shock that we'd spent 4 hours here. 10/24

This market gets very busy quickly and the space it takes place in is pretty small. Parking is tight in this area, so you may have to walk a bit. Market runs until early December to coincide with GV Village Lights.

The UA farmers market takes place on Wednesdays from 3-6:30 pm and runs through mid October…read more It is a very small market, but the vendors that are there are great. I always come away with some happy combo of cheeses, coffee, fresh flowers, and/or baked goods. There are typically only 2-3 produce vendors, so the lines for those do tend to be long. They usually have one food truck onsite. Parking can be tough to find in the Tremont Center parking lot on market day, but the residential side streets are a good back up. Today they had live steel drum music, which really added to the experience.

Taking a star off because they have changed things, and not for the better…read more It's still a pretty good market. Nice variety of vendors. Handy location for many. They had to move it because Littleton's opened, and uses the parking lot, plus there's the new shelter, which is nice but takes yet more of the lot. Now the market is in the street between the parking lot and the church. Strung out, instead of in a more compact rectangle. Not a huge issue if you can walk fine, but with a senior and a kid in tow- hell, with two bad knees myself- it makes it harder. Speaking of walking, the "walkways" in the parking lot are ridiculous, and dangerous. Interrupted by trees taking up the entire width of the walkway, plus rocks at one end. You have to walk across uneven surfaces or out into the narrow, busy lanes of the lot itself. And then the market is directly beside the lane by the mailboxes, putting people right into traffic. Sad to think someone actually designed it this way on purpose.
