The shop is so clean and well lit and very professional. They have makeup artists on hand who work for Mecca Maxima to help you find anything you need. They are all friendly people. They have a great range of small products if you dont want to try the larger size and end up not liking it. As well as many gift sets for you or someone else. Their prices are cheap, the shop is bright pink, and the service is friendly and often hilarious. Desire is located opposite Westfield and down the road from Burwood Railway station. With dozens of cafes and restaurants on Burwood Rd you can grab a coffee or snack while waiting for your toes to dry. My favourite thing about desire is the wacky waxing options available. Some of the best are listed below (please note that all these options are from the women's menu): * Buttocks wax- $20 * Finger or toe waxing- $6. They are fast, the waxing is painless, and they always do a good job. I usually remind them beforehand to shape my eyebrows naturally as I don't want them to go too thin, but they've never made a mistake. I used to go here for manicures/pedicures, but I stopped after the last two manicures I received. The pedicures are great (though, I have to say the little pedicure bins don't seem very sanitary. I've watched a man with really dirty feet get in, and then all they did was spray water into the basin afterwards before the next customer got in- yeck!), and I'd still go in for them, but my last two manicures were a disaster. The same lady did them both times and both times she ended up sanding my ACTUAL NAIL with the electric file- you know, the ones they use on acrylic (fake) nails! The first time she did it, it wasn't a big deal, but the second time, she left little ridges on my nails where the file cut in and they stayed there for months until the nail regrew :( I wish I'd taken pictures or complained, but I didn't. Instead, I just refuse to get my nails done there. I'd recommend Desire for the waxing and pedicures, but be careful with the manicures. I don't think they do the best job as fair as manicures go.

I wasn't really in the market for makeup but the lure of the fake blood as well as quality-looking make-up inside hooked me in. It was bang on closing but the shop assistant didn't say anything to me, just waited patiently while I browsed and it was only when her senior came in to close up that I even realised that's what they were doing. Fake blood, liquid latex, or long-wearing regular make-up can all be found at Scotty's and it all looked reasonably priced to me! (I mean, how much IS a vial of true blood these days?...)
