Been shopping at the Woolrich Outlet Store near Bologna. Spent around 1500 Euros. So naturally we tried to get the tax refund back in Switzerland. The whole process was a bit time-consuming. The paperwork from Woolrich itself was a quick thing, just needed to show our passports and the staff filled out the rest. Then at the Italian/Swiss border we needed a stamp from the swiss customs as well as a form from the Italian customs. That took a while to get. Then we took all the papers and drove here - to Mendrisio. This Global Blue Branch is located a bit hidden inside the Foxtown Factory Mall. At the times we went on the first floor close to the Casino. There is of course a fee they charge for their service. This is a business, and there is some money to be made. But it's still worth coming here. We got a bit under 200 Euros back in taxes. Cash on the table. Well worth the time and the paperwork. Staff was friendly and it took about only 2 minutes here. Surely will come back here if we shop big again in Italy. read more
