Glengormley Pavilion is a well kept area where mostly the ageing locals exercise their stiff old limbs and play a game or two of bowls. They really enjoy it here though they all take it very seriously. I honestly don't think they could live without it. Saying that it looks like good fun I think, though maybe I'm cuckoo. It's definitely great there is a place like this that hasn't been ruined by kids and still maintains a clean community feel.
There are two halls both available for hire and both hold various community classes including; a drama club, cheerleading, weight watchers, a french club, senior citizens line dancing, boccia; a great way of playing bowls for people with limited mobility and a tai chi class for all ages.
The main hall has capacity of 220. Offers self-catering tea/coffee, has a payphone, offers disabled access and includes free car parking. The smaller games room offers the same as above but the capacity is limited to 90 people. read more
