My grandma was sent here after having an above the knee amputation from Northside. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO SPEND EVERY MOMENT WITH THEM TO ENSURE THEY ARE BEING TAKEN CARE OF. ALSO NOT NON ENGLISH SPEAKER FRIENDLY!!!! My grandma is old, doesn't speak English and is on heavy meds so she's not coherent and they took full advantage. The staff is rude and is very selective about who they greet or assist. Physical therapist refused to give a recommendation for a motorized wheelchair with no reason provided. She was sent to the ER the one day I had an appointment for my mom with no notice and I fully believe it's because they didn't want to deal with her anymore. When we returned from the hospital they neglected her wound and my many requests to get assistance. A nurse even told my mother when she was here to watch my grandma that she wasn't "our slave" and she doesn't need us to tell her how to do her job when we asked her to change the dressing and even the translator was appalled. Worst facility and experience ever! I had to quit my job just to make sure she's okay and I can't imagine what would've happened if I wasn't here. Made a very stressful situation that much worse. It's very much just a job/routine for them and they run it that way. With the exception of Dr. Aslan and our case manager Rita. The nursing staff is the worst! read more

My husband required a rehab facility for his broken hip. At Glancy he received prompt round the clock care. his PR and OT worked with him and helped him improve quicker than originalLu expected. it's probably due to the excellent, kind, compassionate and prompt care he received from everyone at this rehab. I hope you never need a rehab facility, but if you do, I highly recommend Glancy. read more

I was at Joan Glancy Rehab this year for almost three weeks. The Rehab program here is the best. I would recommend it to anyone . I will give them a ten star I came here not able to walk and left walking with the walker. they were so great with me so I was discharged way early.The nursing staff are amazing. read more

My wife stayed about 10 days at Glancy. It's a great program. I would imagine no one like the idea of needing to go to rehab. Particularly after a hospital stay, you want to go home. If you are debating going to rehab, and Glancy is a choice, take it. The Dr, the therapists, nursing staff & techs, nutritionists and administration all work together to make this place great. All of them we encountered were professional, and truly seemed to care about patient's success. I don't wish anyone to be in the situation of needing to go, but if you are already in that position, Glancy is the place. I'm very greatful for how they helped my wife start to regain her strength, and teach her the tools she needs to get back to health and independence. read more

I highly recommend Joan Glancy Rehab hospital. I was there for a week and half and everyone including Nurses, Dr's and physical and occupational therapist are 100% professionals. The care I received was far beyond what I expected. Even the food was great. I highly recommend Joan Glancy to anyone needing to go to a therapy hospital. read more

The rehab side to this place was great! The medical side needs some work. They called us at night telling us they were sending my grandma to the ER b/c they were concerned about her breathing. First, we beat our grandma to the ER and we live 25 mins away and the ER is across the street from the rehab center. When we arrive, no one from the facility came with her to ER. It was just like "hey ER, you deal with her now." The ER doctor tells us about a colonoscopy the rehab facility scheduled a day ago. We had no knowledge of this procedure and we would be at that facility everyday. Once my grandma was admitted to the hospital, the next day my dad went to visit the rehab facility to tell them and they had her stuff packed and her room was already filled with a new patient. They couldn't wait 24 hours to get her stuff out and we never got a phone call saying her stuff was packed or anything. Poor communication and poor medical supervision. read more

If you have multiple health issues, ie; diabetes & a Total Knee Replacement, this is the place you want to be after your hospital stay. I have been there 5 times. Staff is great, food is real and good, at least 3 hours of therapy a weekday and sometime a weekend day or both. read more

1 star due to the poor expectations Gwinnett Medical Hospital set up before my Mother's transfer to Glancy. GMH seemed to focus on the fact that the patients get 4 hours of therapy per day versus 1 one at other rehabilitation centers in the area in which my Mother did not r seeeceive. However, the a couple of the physical and occupational therapists were okay. Only one in speech therapy went above and beyond. As far as nurses and techs as well as therapists , poor communication amongst each other , more interested in personal life than the patient rehabilitation, were not equipped for the additional health issues my mother had and when addressing it , it appeared to be bothersome for them , too may patients to bedside tech / nurse / supervisor / case manager ratio imho. Hwever there's too many to keep up with , many did not read patient care instructions on the board and did not follow nurses' instructions, wasn't impressed with case manager at all... she was out pretty much the entire three weeks my mother was there . However she did pop in and showed her face on discharge date for 1 minute but that was actually to speak to and get another employee that was in the room at the time , however one case manager in her absence was very informative however all of the interim case managers and assigned case manager information contradicted each other adding unnecessary confusion , ...overall too much quantity (as far as the number of employees) and not enough quality (in care and cohesiveness amongst the various departments and staff) as far as the superior rehabilitation care and expectations GMH set at the outset. read more
