What we love: -Outdoor time everyday, regardless of the weather. Our daughter can really play, exploring her environment, climbing trees, digging holes, and playing in the mud kitchen. I like that she can get dirty, and that she gets so much play time! -Affordable and consistent -- this is the third preschool/childcare we've used in Watsonville, and is much more affordable than the others. And, they pretty much follow the PVUSD calendar, so there aren't a bunch of days or weeks off that we have to scramble for backup care. They are closed for the month of July, which is a bummer, but you don't pay for that month. -The teachers are so loving and caring. They know our daughter and they know our family. They are affectionate. Our daughter tells them she loves them, because she really, really does. -Lots of field trips -- Mt. Madonna, local farms, the beach, the library, local museums. -Age appropriate academics -- kids are totally ready for kindergarten, but there isn't a forced, regimented curriculum forced down their throats. I attended for 4 years (2 years each child) with my older two and will return with my youngest child in the fall of this year. This school provides hands-on learning through play and multiple field trips throughout the year (1 each month). There is a huge outdoor space equipped with bikes, a sandbox, and lots of other toys, play structures. There are multiple play areas inside as well. Parents provide healthy snacks on a rotating basis and the kids LOVE when it is their snack day! It gives everyone an opportunity to try new foods and I've seen kids eat things their parents said they wouldn't even try otherwise! My children were very well equipped for kindergarten, both socially and academically. There is not a way to adequately say how this program has positively affected me as a parent. Ms Michelle and those she brings in are nurturing, present, creative, and earnestly care about and adjust for the individual child. We made the easy decision to keep our eldest in preschool instead of TK once we found exactly what we were missing in other schools. Thankful to have my youngest also enrolled for another year. Ms. Michelle is thoughtful when planning her classroom. From rotating stations to keep things interesting, bringing in as many lessons regarding the seasons and nature as possible; currently they have tad poles and baby chicks in the classroom, to working and communicating with the kiddos (and their parents) to keep a cohesive group dynamic.

The teachers G had (Ms. Karla & Ms. Ashlyn) were terrific and always kept me in the loop daily how she was doing and were so quick to respond to any messages I had sent. Most importantly she LOVED going to school & learned so much. The classes are smaller so they get 100% hands on during their day to make sure they succeed and are ready for Kindergarten.
