I have a good friend whom I visit every time I come to Brazil, and he has a house in the rainforest that we always visit.
We drive from São Paulo and always stop here for lunch before heading to the house.
The restaurant is located on the river leading to the ocean, so the views are great, and it's nice sitting outside.
We arrived, and the hostess showed us to our table, gave us menus, and water. We perused the menu, and I let my host order for the table; he ordered a lot of different items to share. We ordered some cold beers, which were served in a carafe of ice!
We had Moqueca, Casquinha de Sir, and Badejo fish- all absolutely spectacular! The Casquinha de Siri is crabmeat in a shell; the crab is a local delicacy and so good! The Moqueca is a local dish and was so delicious as well!
We ate until we were stuffed, such great food in a great atmosphere.
If I lived here, I would be at this restaurant every day! read more
