This is as lovely, warm and personal as a hotel can get, I believe. We stayed for six nights over…read moreX-mas and I feel free to say that.
Of course there were some minor things that weren't perfect, but still not worth taking away any stars. We had an extra small room, for example. Breakfast wasn't exactly creative, as opposite to dinner, and probably at the expense of dinner. Inside pool is not warm enough to chill in in winter, and is rather too small to seriously swim in, so we found it useless, but still pretty. But who says it is possible to be that perfect! The spa area was perfect though. Above all, the team at Ritzlerhof is really one big family. The hotel is run by a couple who managed to create an own little world out of it. They will make you feel as comfy as it gets and you will feel like you are visiting friends - to the extent that is possible at all in a not even such a small hotel. I thought i have seen nice staff already, but they put "nice" on a whole new level. Another aspect that is hard to beat is their attention to detail in terms of design - of food as well as of interior. Beauty wherever you look! Not only was every course of dinner served as a piece of art rather than food, but the restaurant itself is definitely one of the most beautiful (not only) hotel restaurants i have ever seen. Up to the last detail! By day 6, we were almost so overwhelmed with perfection, that we just wanted a burger and french fries for dinner, but i couldn't call that a drawback:).. Looking forward to coming again in the summer and swimming in the pool outside with that amazing view of mountain peaks!
