There are agents and then there are Agents. Teresa is definitely an Agent. I relocated to SoCal (from NorCal), but was fairly familiar with LA, so it wasn't like I didn't know the area or anything. After relocating, I slowly started to look around to purchase my first home (the Bay Area as you know is now just ridiculous). At the beginning, I worked with 2 agents, 1 referred to my as part of my relocation package and another I found. I can say those agents (and I saw this when looking for to buy years ago), they didn't really listen or care for what I was looking for. I had a list of non-negotiables and I swear those 2 agents were def b/c I mentioned them multiple times my non-negotiables (they weren't crazy just 3-4 things, like price and location), but every property they showed me did not contain more than 1, maybe 2 at best, of my non-negotiables. I could tell they just wanted to make a sale and get the commission. It got to the point where I said "screw it I'll just do it myself." At this point, I was at the will of just Google searches, Zillow, Redfin, etc. But this did not make my search easier. I've noticed that by the time listing got onto these sites there was already offers submitted, so I was playing catch-up. Months later, I started to work with Teresa, just by chance. Man can I say again, she is an Agent! Unlike the others, she listened to what I was looking for and only showed my what I was looking for. She didn't try to up-sell me at any time, but rather worked within the boundaries I set. I can say, I was picky on what I was looking for (I wasn't looking to buy just to buy, but rather only going to buy if I found something worth buying). With that, Teresa never once forced me to try to make a decision I wasn't ready for. She was very patient. Not only that, I could tell she wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase. So there was nothing forced. Also, I was no longer playing catchup, but rather being one of the first viewers! During all the viewings, especially during COVID, she made she I was informed of everything, i.e. rules, etc, and made viewing place every comfortable. Not just comfortable, but down-right fun. I can say there were many inside jokes that emerged from our viewings. Once an offer was made, Teresa walked me through the process in great detail. I can honestly say she definitely held my hand through the entire process (since it was my first purchase). She answered every question, but not only that, she did it with no hint of annoyance, no matter how stupid the question. From my experience, from the other agents, I have high confidence that they would have never walked me through the entire process like Teresa. Overall, like I said there are agents and there are Agents. Don't waste your time. Work with an Agent, work with Teresa. Whether it's your first, second, third, or other home, Teresa will give you the personal touch and not the business feel. I can tell she was motivated by making sure I was happy and nothing else (which is rare these days). There is no doubt, for my next home I will be reaching out to Teresa.
