We immediately got a sense of warmth and charisma from the power couple. :) There are countless things that I can say about them but I'll say my top which I think may be of service to others who are scouting for their photographer/videographer: -Kasie and Patrick are extremely in sync. They tell it like it is in a very tactful and get-down-to-business way. When you're up against the clock, and you don't have a lot of time to be indecisive .. they can help you make sound decisions, as they are experts at their craft. Our hotel venue could not let us know where we could have a moment for the first look, but they scouted out the best spot right away. -great communication. Most of our wedding guests complimented how nice they were and how efficient and quick they were. -on my wedding day there were countless moments of stress that I could never in a million years foresee (I tried to plan for things so it'd be smooth sailing day-of) and they were like so nice to me when I felt my head was going to explode with anxiety. One of my favorite moments of the day they probably don't remember, but it was when Kasie and I were in the elevator before the first look and she was just so empathetic and kind to listen to me vent about how I felt in over my head with having such a big bridal party (who were a hand full to say in the least!) .. and also Patrick helping me put on my high heel shoes again when I took them off since they were killing my feet. 1000% would seek their services again if I'm in the area again to visit, or in town for a family reunion. A friend of mine had her boudoir shots done about 4 years ago. She tried to convince me to do it…read moreto, but I thought that wasn't for me I'm too old for that. It wasn't very long afterwards that I experienced a bad breakup, after nearly 16 years, one day he just walked out. I was left devastated with my self-esteem and my confidence in shatters. As if that hadn't been  tough enough, it was less than 3 months later that we all went unlocked down in March of 2020 due to Covid 19. So there I sat alone in my house, working from home with no social contact to speak of, no romantic possibilities on the horizon, and no self-worth, self-esteem or self-confidence yosoeak of. Thats when my friend started bugging me again about getting a Boudoir shot done. It took her maybe close to a year but she finally got me to email Sarah Williams @ Mirrors Edge.  This was in summer of 2021. I had just dropped a few pounds after gaining my covid 15, so I was just starting to feel a little better about myself. Sarah and I picked a date and it's a date grew closer and closer I grew more and more anxious, more and more unsure of myself. Then finally came the day of my photo shoot with Sarah and holy cow! First hour and a half was spent with Renee getting my hair and makeup done. She turned me into a movie star. Seriously she made me look amazing. Then Sarah spent a good amount of time helping me weed through all of the stuff that I had brought. (Seriously, it looked like I was moving in!) We picked 3 outfits  to work with that day. Let me tell you, walking out of that dressing room in my underwear, knowing that I was going to get my picture taken, in my underwear, just brought a new wave of nerves back to me.  But Sarah is unflappable, within minutes she had me laughing and following directions and enjoying myself and the next thing I knew the day had flown by we had gone through three outfits. I can't even begin to count how many photos and I had had a great time. I had laughed more than I had in almost 2 years. But wait, within the hour I got to sit in Sarah's little office and look at her computer screen with her at my pictures untouched, totally raw and was completely mind blown! Not only did Renee make me look like a movie star in the morning but that afternoon I saw frame after frame after frame of myself looking truly like a movie star. And I grew up in Southern California my dad was in the film industry I know what movie stars look like and the girl on that screen will look a lot like them. Oh and did I just refer to myself as a girl at the time I was 63! I loved my picture so much I spent twice as much as I got a collection twice as big as I had thought I would and I'm happy to say that I have one of my pictures hanging in my living room and anyone who comes to my house gets to see it. I'm so proud of how beautiful I look to that day and every time I see it, it reminds me that that's me! That beautiful woman in that picture is really me! Or maybe I should say is the real me. But that's just the first chapter of my story. Last weekend just 3 days ago Sarah and I executed something that we'd been talking about for around 7 months. I had always wanted to do a particular type of photo shoot. I'd always wanted to have my picture taken embracing my own particular form of spirituality in my photos. With Sarah's encouragement and direction, I found inspiration I shared with her and over the course of a few weeks we made a plan. Just 3 days ago, my second shoot with Sarah was my witchy boudoir dream come true. This time I was far more excited than nervous & this time Renee made me look like Betty Page meets Elvira and I couldn't have been happier. Again I purchased More than I planned because the pictures were so damn good! I had to have as many of them as possibly. I don't know your story but I know you have one. And I feel like most of us you could use a little uplifting. That is precisely what Sarah Williams at Mirror's Edge photography does. She is a champion of women of all ages, shapes, sizes,creed's, colors, spiritualities and economic resources. She embraces and lifts you up. Ohhh what can I say about Sarah Kathleen other than she is the greatest human being I have ever…read moremet. Her photography is gorgeous/flawless/perfect/everything and her personality is amazing. Being photographed is a little awkward, but she made me and my husband feel oh so comfortable with her. I booked her because obviously her work is stunning, but she is so quick on email it is ridiculous. I emailed several photographers that either never got back to me or took dayssss. Sarah responded almost immediately and then we went back and forth for a while. She answered all of my questions promptly and in depth. It was no question that I had to book her. We did our engagement photos in December 2017 and she returned them within the week. Wow was that impressive. *She probably doesn't always do this* I really didn't talk to her much until we got closer to the wedding date (October 2018). I had a few random questions about timeline, etc. throughout the year which she responded to quickly. The wedding day was perfect. She brought a second shooter, Emily, who was equally as wonderful as Sarah. Sarah would literally jump into plants to get the perfect picture. Several people commented on how she really did whatever it took to get the picture (jump in plants, climb on chairs, anything). And from the sneak peak I have seen so far, it was all worth it. I was pretty nervous on the wedding day of course, and she made me feel so at ease. I feel like I've known her forever and she is my instant best friend. My mom said that she never even saw Sarah except in the background of a few photos that friends and family took. I think my favorite thing about the wedding and Sarah is that when we were looking through our card box after the wedding we had a card from Sarah. Sarah had been taking Polaroids the entire evening and she put about 10 of them in with the card. This was so special and I had no idea she was doing this. She got a few of me and my husband, one of the father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, and Bridal Party. This was the best thing to find the day after the wedding. The day of the wedding she was so responsive, helpful, and intuitive. Our wedding day had a jam-packed schedule and she pushed through it amazingly! (That was our fault--we tried jamming everything into a short amount of time--but she was awesome about it!) She even stayed longer than our agreed upon time frame because we were running a little behind. I told her that she didn't have to stay since it was already past the time she was supposed to leave but she insisted, with grace, that she stay to capture the last few important moments (bouquet toss, etc.). She made the long drive from SLO to Sacramento twice for us which was awesome of her and convenient for us! When it came to the cost, we loved that Brandi was so willing to be flexible. At the time of our wedding I was in the middle of a non-paid teacher credential program and my husband was putting in tons of OT just to get us through our monthly bills and expenses.
