I called in an order for a grilled pork banh mi. Got there in ten minutes. Had to wait a little longer. The sandwich was delicious, and a good size too! Next time I'll dine in and try their beef pho. The restaurant is clean, modern, and bright. The parking is the only issue I encountered. During peak lunch hour it can be tricky finding a parking spot. The food was good, the service was good. The price is high for this type of food. The overall experience is not bad but I'm not sure this can be a quick lunch grab place. I called 25 minutes before closing and was about 7 minutes away - the owner told us to come on over. We arrived to find only a few people left, but the owner greeted us quickly to our table. I ordered the beef pho and my wife ordered the lemon grass chicken and rice. Our food came out quickly, and throughout our meal we never felt rushed. The Pho was one of the best I have had in the area. On par with our go to restaurant (Crystal Pho) near where we live. The broth is a bit lighter, but still very flavorful. My wife raved about the chicken dish multiple times. We cant wait to go back and try some of their other dishes. My kids wanted Jersey Mikes Friday night, but we wanted something wholesome. Off Preston and Frontier Parkway, In the same strip mall with the Jersey Mikes and Anamia's is "Ginger and Spice". Friday night, it was too busy inside, but they had a lot of pick up orders waiting for their ride(s). Ordered the Beef Pho and Spam Fried rice; lady said it would be 10-15 so I walked the kids to have their sammich's for dinner. Came bag and was handed a heavy bag brown bag and we rolled back home. Pulled staples off and heaved out the friend rice in a box; I say heaved because it was heaaavy!! Pho was packed in cylindrical container and wrapped in cling film. The noodles and accompaniments in a thick brown bowl(which can handle the broth). Pho broth was hearty but wasn't too tier for me; it was a good wholesome bowl; but I've had Pho where the broth was levels in flavor and a bit thicker. Now, the star sauce as by the Spam fried Rice. I would come back regularly just for that. Cooked perfectly, plenty of spam, veggies and egg and it came with jullienne carrots, pickled red onion and cucumber spears. That rice could honestly be 4 meals.....so it checks the quantity and quality boxes. I'll be back to try pho in house and more friend rice. Wow!!! Sooooo good! Seriously I am SOO thankful that Jeff brought Ginger and Spice to Prosper TX!! I loveeee Bahn mi sandwiches, but unfortunately have never found one that I loved everything about. There was always something that could've been improved to make it better... that was until last night!!!! I ordered the Grilled Pork Banh Mi and it was PERFECT. Seriously I was in disbelief with every bite. The bread, PERFECT. The meat, PERFECT. The PERFECT amount of mayo and veggies. It was sooooo amazing. I had a bite of the lemon grass chicken one as well and it was so flavorful as well. In addition to the sandwiches, I also had some of the Papaya Salad, I don't like papaya and I definitely don't love salads, but I was shocked and quickly ate the portion my family allowed me to eat hahaha (they were eating it first and loved it so were trying to prevent me from eating it all ) My sister ordered the Lemongrass chicken vermicelli and it seriously looked so amazing that I wanted to take a picture of it hahaha but she wouldn't share :(( but said it was sooo good.. During our meal, Jeff, who turned out to be the owner came out to check on us and ask how everything was. I told him all of that and he was so thankful and truly truly cared that we had a pleasant experience. It was so refreshing to feel that we actually mattered to this man, and weren't just sales on a Tuesday night. I told Jeff that I was going to try to convince my parents to let us come back tomorrow (today) because it was that good. Wellllllll luckily we did!!! Just finished eating Ginger and Spice for the 2nd time in 24 hours! This time we got take out and the quality was not at all diminished. I could not recommend this place any more!!!! Beware! We got food poisoning and there was no parking. This was our first visit to this restaurant for lunch. The place was empty with only one other patron and we ordered the pork bahn mi and chicken bahn mi as well as the spring rolls. The portions are huge! Save your stomachs and go elsewhere. Great food! Very generous portions. Eaten food from here at least 10x. The pho is really good, love the chicken wings too. Flavorful in all the right ways, without being heavy or oily. The Beef Pho was the best I've had during my 17 years in DFW. We enjoyed the Pork Vermicelli and also the Chicken Rice dish. I'm so happy Prosper now has Pho. I've driven many miles to Pho Que Huong in Frisco. Not any more as Ginger & Spice is better. The only thing I would improve is the fried egg rolls. They have pork and shrimp so my wife cannot eat them. They were a bit dry inside but the crust was amazing. I can't wait to try the chicken wings next time! read more
